Yes, a high RPM needle vibration is normal. Shouldn't you be looking at the road at that RPM? ![: )](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/clipart/happy.gif) |

Some have taken those rubber HD key tags that you get and put it behind the cluster. Suppose to reduce the vibs in the needle. I haven't done it yet, but plan to. Just need to get one of those key tags. |

Just need to get one of those key tags. Interesting. Goes along the same lines of sealing the mirrors around the edges. Might have to try the rubber behind the cluster to see if it makes a difference. |

I've found...in playing with my fuel and timing maps...when the engine is happy and smooth...so is the tach needle. If the fuel and or timing is off...the needle vibrates accordingly. That's what my CR is doing anyway. I've had the tach needle silky smooth at high rpm's in the recent past...and the engine responds the same way. Just going thru an extended learning curve with the banned/oh so terrible computer program...! Right now it's just a tad fuzzy from adding too much timing. No...there's no detionation...it's not that high. Mike |
