Since checking the oil level is a bit of a bother, I tend not to. Any of you more ambitious types notice any drop in the level? |

A guy I know with an X1 did the same thing...then had a bad valve guide seal and roached his motor when the oil went away. Do yourself a favor and check it on a regular basis. |

While the cold check isnt he best way to do it, it will give you an indicaiton if you are low and is pretty easy to do |

I have not noticed any oil burning whatsoever. |

1st 1,000 miles I was definitely burning oil. Since then, it has tapered off. At 3,500 miles I am burning little to no oil. |

Mine don't use any oil, 09, 8000 mi. |
