Probably could be at cyclelab by about 7:30 but get stuck working late often. If I'm late I'll just go straight to Crabbys.Laid my 1125 down in turn 4 during the first session at MOROSO on sunday = minor damage to the bike and my leathers. Ran fine the rest of the day so all damage was cosmetic and my suit has a little more character. never did like shiny leathers anyway. Was running that corner much faster later in the day so I believe it was a tire pressure problem along with a small rut in that turn.I doubt it could have been driver error.See you wednesday. |

I too will be out of comission this week as Ruby is in for diagnostics and repairs- all warrantee shit. They have to locate the proper equipment to do a compression test(possible source of disappearing oil) and a fuel pressure test (possible source of the 'sneeze' thru the air cleaner). Plus they have to fix or replace the fork stop because it isn't stopping the forks, which is causing my throttle and idle cables to have to be replaced. Also my cam cover gasket is weeping on the top rearmost bolt, and both of my tappett gaskets are weeping. Neither one of those weeps are bad, just enough to moisten the paint around them. Anyway, hopefully when i get her back she will be better than new, and hopefully it won't take too long either! In the mean time i am still on two wheels... A 49cc honda metropolitan scooter, it was the shit for about a month before i adopted Ruby, now it's like f#cking a fat chick, sorta fun, but you don't want your friends to see you doing it! Anyone have a spare i could borrow for a week?! |

Bad rings can cause excessive crankcase pressure which can result in oil leaks anywhere on your motor. Also oil usage.Who has your bike? I believe I have a leakdown checker burried in my garage. |

Hey Glover, I have Ruby over at sunrise hd. they have a bit of work to do on her what with changing the tappet gaskets, not to mention the other stuff. The heads have to come off, but I guess they want to do the compression test before they go ripping the motor apart. Anyway, like I said, it is all under warantee, and I am going to take advantage of as much free sh!t as I can get outta the stealership! Plus those issues need to be addressed before they become major problems. It is just inconvenient for me since my Ruby is my only transportation. Thankfully my old man has the scooter he bought for his step kid(who is not allowed to use it because she doesn't take care of it), so I get to tool around on it at a whopping top speed of 40mph! |

Tepiddeath, Get a 12 volt electric fan mount it to the handlebars aimed at your face, should make it feel like 45mph Anyway, its better than nothing......Its sad to think that you will be out of commission for 4 to 6 weeks, but at least when you go visit your bike it wont be alone, Christian's bike is torn down over there as well |

Got to take a class on thursday in wpb to re do my cpr/aed stuff, and then need to do some on site training. I start on the 17th doing overnights. |

Kosak, don't be a nut sack! I will not let them keep my Ruby for 4-6 weeks. I am already suffering separation anxiety from being without her. And today I came to the realization that 7 months ago the little scooter, or "scooty" as it has been nicknamed, was the sh!t because I didn't have to pedal anymore, and I put almost 1000 miles on it in a month. But now that I have been on my Buell for 6 months, "scooty" is a total bummer! I would totally go out with you on the scooter, but I don't think your bikes go that slow! |

Stretch-good to see you're still alive and kickin! good luck on the new employment Kosack-be careful, that scooter may have more lean and better braking-I'd be willin to bet Tepid and the scooter weigh less than you do and if the speeds are below 35 she will whoop on you.... quit on Amy |

I'm a big girl, I can take the ! For what it is, the scooter serves it's purpose, but riding it does not satisfy my desire for a motorcycle ride. Thankfully, Rob was nice enough to relinquish his keys to me, so I took the FLHX out for a spin this evening, just a short one though as I did not want to abuse my motorcycle riding privilages! I am trying to be patient and not call the dealership, but if I don't hear something by tomorrow evening, I will call and find out what's up, and what my ETA is for completion... until then I will try to keep a white knuckled grip on what small, miniscule, insignificant shred of sanity I have left! |

Tepiddeath, Sanity is for the week and confused, after all most of the world thinks we are crazy for being loyal Buell owners.......and it will be 4 to 6 weeks, just ask anyone who has had there Buell in for any real repairs. I hope you get it back sooner, I feel real bad for that scooter, it wasn't made for your type of riding style.. |

I AM A HOMOner! HOME OWNER!!!! please if i start to become more "normal" slap me and beat some sense into me!!!! Seriously though, I got my place for less than 1/5 what it sold for 3 years ago, and my mortgage and maintenance is less than what my rent was (at the same place) about $340 a month less!!!!! I am still Ruby-less, but I have upgraded a bit, my friend Christine is letting me borrow her Vespa!! Have a great weekend, ride safe, and enjoy time with your mothers! |

Kosack- I'm up for a ride on sunday the 23rd of this month!! I stopped by the dealership to say hello to Ruby, and to give her a hug and let her know that I miss her. First off, you should have seen the look on the faces of the service writers when I pulled right up to the counter on a Vespa! And second off, you should have seen the look on the faces of the mechanics when I came skipping back thru the service area! I took Ruby home with me on Friday, and am going to ride her while we wait for the parts to come in. All of that waiting so far was for naught, and it would have been really nice if the douche canoes would have told me that I could pick her up during one of the many phone conversations. Anyway, I am back on my baby, and hopefully will be available for a ride next week. I will keep everyone posted as to what is going on with the great adventures of Ruby! |

Guy- how did you do @ Homestead on Sun? how fast did the 1125 go on the back straight(assuming they use it like they did when I was SCCA/IMSA road racing at the turn of the millenium)? one of these days I really need to get some gear and do some track days on the 1125 and the XB...... Tepid-great news you have Ruby back until they get their shit together. of course its gonna rain all week and I just finally got the new "puppy" used to me not always being here |

I thought about his pups and they are definitely cute, but with my allergies a bulldog mix was not the right choice for me. |

Torq, you asked about the speed on the back straight. I wasn't sure so I pulled an old video my buddy took at Homestead a few months ago. I'm in yellow in front of him.I wish I knew he was filming because I wouldn't have let off a few times for slower riders.Sometimes I just wait for a straight to reel in the RICE. My buddy Tony used to race Pro so he can pass me in just about any corner but can't run with the 1125 in the straights. Never tried before but i'll try to post the video. |

Guy_thanks for that video-boy do I wanna do a track day after seeing that! 140+several times on the front and back straights, looks like same loop as when we used to road race there. Is the transition onto and off of the front stretch bank to road course still "jarring"? the video didn't make it look that bad but in the GT1 cars it used to scrape lower air dams pretty good and give good "jolt". When is the next track day @ Homestead or West Palm? I'd like to try and plan ahead to see one first hand. |

Don't know when the next track day is but i'll post as soon as I find out.The turns at Homestead from the front and back straights both have a rough transition but as I get better the less I seem to notice them. |

good ride on Sunday, sorry I had to cut it short but a lot of work to still be done on house. for those who could not make it there was 4 of us all on Buells, 2 XB's and 2 1125's, Guy_glover,Thekosack,Tepiddeath, and myself. we rode down Riverland Rd to Federal, onto rent a car alley, throught the Airport loop, part of 9 turns and then caught breakfast at Lester's near Sawgrass. short ride about 50 miles or so of semi-spirited riding through as many combination curves we could dream up. next time we'll try and give a little more warning as to when/where, this was kinda last minute |
