GREAT Sunday ride!!! Even being stuck behind grandpa & grandma on 92 into Leavenworth... trying to catch the group. My GPS must have malfunctioned... as it displayed the maximum speed during the trip as 100 mph. NO WAY... I never broke 70 mph the whole day... I gotta get that fixed. Ya think??? |

I agree! Great ride! I am looking forward to the next one already! Sounds like a malfunction to me! I didn't realize you could get that kind of information from one of those.. |

My GPS max speed has displayed 280 mph, and that was on the Buell, not an airplane. Think I should log onto sportbike.com and brag about my fast tractor? I think they call that 'Position Slip' in GPS lingo. |

KC Dudes; Now that you have an OOOFicial BRAG club, do you want a header addedd to the top of your page? Read This Sample at the top of the N. Georgia page. Send me some suggested text and I'll add it. DaveT |

Yeah... that's it... position slip... I know that was it. Every time the tach would hit 7,000 rpm and I shifted... my position slipped... and when we did those curves.. and I rolled across those tar snakes in the road... I could feel the rear of the bike shift... THAT HAS GOT TO BE IT... WOW!!!!!! |

re: the flatness of Kansas. A graduate student in geology at U. of Arizona has published research results in the Annals of Arcane Research comparing the topography of Kansas with the surface of a pancake from the IHOP located across the street from campus. His conclusion - if you drove across the pancake, you would soon fall into a pot hole 10 miles deep. So Kansas is actually flatter than a pancake!

Take that back and I'll show you a GREAT place to ride West of Topeka on Highway 4 out to Highway 99 and then the backroads to Concordia. Don't let anyone bullshit you, I've ridden Buells in more states than any person in the world and Kansas has some fine roads. Court |

I know the route you speak of my friend, and it is good, for Kansas. Alas, now I am in Atlanta and all I have to do is head north one hour and I say, "we're definately not in Kansas, Toto." |

Yeah that was some good weather and ridin' we had Tripper. Better circumstances next time. By the way ... N GA has terrific roads too! I rode around Suches and Hiawasee. (There's a Brit bike regional there this weekend) DAve |
