I was under the impression that the R clip-on's were made of aluminum. Either HD changed them or they've been steel all along, but I was pretty suprised to see sparks flying when I cut off a set to make a raised pair. I'm not sure of the grade of steel yet, but it's not aluminum for sure. Anybody else seen this? |

Just the bars. I'd never really looked at them, so I wasn't aware of what they were made of. |

The bars themselves are SS304. |

Very nice, that's something I can weld at home even. |

Well, I didn't want to give too much away, but the RT-5 will follow more of the mass-centralization stuff that Buell is famous for. I can't get into the details just yet, there's an NDA clause I have to wade through first. It's still in the design phase, so you'll just have to let your imagination run rampant at this point. I've noticed a lot of black apache helicopters flying about the house lately, 7 or 8 in the last week. I'm getting a little worried that security here has been comprimised some. Project Whistler was also mentioned about a week ago and I'm not happy about that announcement. I wanted NO part of it, but it looks like I'll get dragged into it anyway. No details available for that one either. Sorry, it's a "need-to-know" thing and you don't need to know. |
