I want a K&P cleanable / reusable, stainless steel mesh oil filter, but they don't make one for the Helicon. Does anyone know if any oil filters from the Aprilia engines fit? Or what needs to be done to them to fit, so I can buy an Aprilia one and make it fit the Helicon? James | ||

Link at top of page - new owner info - maintenance parts cross reference lists all the filters but he is looking for a reusable/ss filter. | ||

Better filtration and easier to inspect oil filter at oil changes. Also won't have to deal with making sure I have a filter when I pull bike apart. Hopefully the local harley dealer has filters in stock now, did first oil change at about 400km and went in asked for an oil filter for the new buell, not the harley engine and they still sold me a tractor engine one. I emailed K&P about the long Aprilia filters, I will see what they say. James |
