okay so did the cursory search and came up with the info that doesn't pertain to what i am dealing with. okay so last night on the way home from work the tach needle starts flashing. not the rapid you need to shift or the hey dummy the bike's still cold flashing but slower and when i looked down the speedo is reading 0MPH i kinda keep an eye on it and the speedo is going nuts 0-actual speed and everything in between. no check engine light at any time during this event. this is the first time this has happened. any ideas? |

VSS or bad cluster, maybe a bad connection at the cluster. |

i was thinking cluster as i also have the lfl issue from time to time and that actually got worse yesterday morning bike was fully warmed i added fuel restarted and the light stayed on...been a few other cluster related issues that i can't recall off hand but my dealer has been very hesitant to getting me a new one. guess i gotta call buell service and go that route |

Speed sensor. I've had this problem. The tach will flash at about 4.5 or 5k. That's because the bike thinks it's out of gear and it's warning you not to rev the motor without a load. |

Boogiman - I believe the light stays on after refuelling for a short time (my does IIRC). |

jules the reason i mention that behavior is because it's new to me the lfl light has always been 'slow' to show the actual status but this was weird |
