Stupid, obvious question: is the snubber washer not part of the original isolator that could be re-used? My kit is missing the part, too. |

Part is on order from dealer. If no one else posts before mine comes in, I'll post pix, and go to the hardware store to see if I can find a good equivalent. |

Cool Fahren. I can't see paying shipping on a 60 cent part, but I might have to. |

Going to a local dealer is not very convenient for me, so I'm working lately with a dealer who does online ordering - called them to tell them it was missing, and they will ship the part (their nickel) when it comes in. It was no biggie for them, they see missing parts in assembled kits of stuff a fair amount from the factory. |

If I can get my hands on a copy of the parts list/instructions in the kit(L1501.8) I can call Dealer Services(formerly SPOC) and make some dealer-level input. Y'all that bought kits and were missing L0503.T, call Customer Service at (414)343-4056 and let them know from the customer side. Then go to the hardware store and get a suitable fender washer. Got my kit. No snubber. Here's the parts list indicating the snubber is in the kit.

I rang my local dealer(here in NZ)they said the snubber wasn't part of the kit and will cost me extra. They have ordered some snubbers in(as they had to do with the Kit/s), will show em the mount instructions as per above when it arrives. Not going to pay for something thats supposed to be part of a kit. |

I just called Al and he picked up a few and will post the measurements when he gets the chance. I have not had a chance to hit the HW store but will tonight. (Message edited by f_skinner on May 20, 2010) |

Sorry if this has already been asked but those of you who have the new part in hand, can you "feel" a difference in the rubber material as compared with the older ISO? Just curious. And the picture seems to suggest that the ISO is mounted from the bottom. Does that apply to X1 or is it showing a dfferent bike/frame? (Message edited by kalali on May 20, 2010) |

It mounts on the bottom of S2's because of steering neck clearance. Mounts on top M2 S3 X1. Looks like the -79D to me ....at a more reasonable price. |

I was talking about the motor HEAD mount bolts but it is cool, I got them... BTW, you have to take the front motor head mount off.... At least I did, I could not find a way to get the new isolator in there. My old one was good still, I have 5K miles on it... I must of installed it wrong because I heard they are supposed to go bad much less than that. |
