that looks sick! What is involved in making the swap? I love the white wheels too! I think you bike would look even better if the frame and swing arm were powder coated white. |

Funny, the v-twin sportbike I had before the 1125R was an SV. Yeah, the taillights do look pretty good! |

Looks pretty awesome, but you're not gonna ruin those looks by hanging a license plate from it, are ya? |

Looks awesome! My last bike before the 1125 was an SV as well, and I always liked the SV tail. Please post the final product, I'd love to see it! |

Quite a few people that had an SV. The biker before my 1125R was an SV as well, which I still own. The tail lights look nicer, but probably more work then I would want to deal with. |

White wheels look nice, but they are a real pain to keep clean. At least the 1125s don't have a chain to fling lube all over the rear, but the stock exhaust will spit crap all over the place. The tips on this bike should help alleviate that problem, but then there's brake dust to contend with. Those of you that had SVs, what did you have? I had an '03 SV650S and an '03 SV1000S. I had to think long and hard about parting with my 1000 to buy my 1125R but now I wouldn't go back in a million years. |

99 sv650 and 02 sv650. Sv1000 was a dissapointment. 1125r is what I wanted the sv to be. |

Sorry guys, I lost the thread. I bought an 09 R1 plate bracket on E-Bay, coming from Texas. They sent me something from an earlier bike and I have not yet received the correct part. I just temporarily re-attached the trimmed down stock stuff. Not the look I want at all but will have to do until my R1 parts arrive. Fitting the SV tail light is WAY TO MUCH WORK! Since my subframe was out to have the battery tray welded in further forward I figured a little extra welding at the back wouldn't hurt either. The sub frame has to be trimmed dow and re angled (just the plate under the rear seat latch, the light housing has to be trimmed down to clear the sub-frame and the to clear the latch for the rear seat. The back end of the release cable housing (aluminum and grey plastic part) has to be removed, without damaging the cable too. Very little clearance. I will take some more pictures. Some one is going to tell me how to make this thread current again, 'cause I can't figure it out |
