Glad y'all got out some. I went up into the High Park and Guffey area today. It was really warm in Canon City, but not so much up in the mountains. I need to start getting the luggage and every thing else ready for the ride to Homecoming. That is only a month away! |

Oh, guess I should mention the plans I have with my wife at the end of the month. We're thinking of heading to the Grand Canyon being that I have never been there. Taking the bikes down that way. Anyone been there that could recommend a place to stay or maybe would be interested in going with us? This will be over the Memorial Weekend as I have a 4 day then. |

Dan and I got out for a nice ride. My son, Skye, came down with his SV650 and we rode to Palmer Lake. What a beautiful day. Got back and went to brunch at the Plum Creek Golf club. It was great. Got home and did some work on the toy hauler getting it ready to go play in. Got some plants in the ground. What a great Mother's Day. Great looking bike Lynn. That cherry bomb is sweet. Hope to get to ride with you soon. Saw a red firebolt down in Palmer Lake too. |

Julie, Happy mom's day! Yes, getting ready to hit the dirt. Rampart still closed but the Rainbow falls area is partly open (trail 717 is clear). A lot of down burnt trees from the high winds last week I heard in the other areas there. Right now, Grand Jct. is a good place to ride but that's a good drive. Do not know if you guys want to go that far yet. Would need at least a 3 or 4 day weekend. Will winter ever end in the Mountains? and of course i would love to join you guys. JOHN |

Aughhhhh. Listening to the weather and they're expecting 8-18" of snow, possibly as far down as Castle Rock. Grand junction sounds good about now John. The Farmers Almanac is saying a cooler and wetter than normal May and June. Where's thar global warming. I'm ready for it. |

Yeah, I heard this morning 1 to 2 feet of snow from Evergreen west. Rampart wont be opening for a while now. Im not hearing anything from Al Gore about this. |

Heater's on in the garage, playing with The Beast. I made a set of top extenders for the hand-guards last night. Gonna switch pins under the flyscreen so both lights are on at hi-beam. Might shorten turn-signal stalks too. Frank - I talked to Al and he said he's just gonna get some washers to fill the kits. If there is an instruction sheet in the kit, I need a copy. I'm going to call SPOC tomorrow or Friday if I get a chance and talk to them. Little brother isn't liking the snow... Zack |

OK Zac, I will send you the instruction sheet if I get around to it tonight. I guess I will go to the Hardware store tonight to find something that will fit since I leave for the S2 Gathering tomorrow. |

John, we only got a couple of inches, thank goodness. I'm so tired of snow. Dan and I have been talking about getting out on the dirt soon. We're going up to HCHD on Sat to pick up my bike. I can't wait to get back on it. I'm trying to set up my lesson with Mark on the track at High Plains. I left him a message so I hope he calls back soon. |

Good news Ryan, cross your fingers for a warmer, dryer Summer than last year. Settling into The Beast nicely. I can see this becoming a daily rider. I messed up the pins when I was playing with the headlights. Pulled the cowl one last time and fixed my oops's. Can't wait for a night ride now...

Anyone interested in buying a 2008 Pace American 6X10 enclosed trailer? We're getting one just a little bit bigger. We're asking $2000. If anyone is interested let us know and we can forward pictures. |

John, thanks but a guy is coming over now to buy it. He stopped by earlier today and he called back. So, it's sold, but thanks again (it's gone, just drove down the driveway) We had a great ride down to Deckers today. Got back on the 1125 . We may need to put the high bars on it tho, cause it's causing some problems for me. But I LOVE this bike. Can't wait to get it on the track. (Message edited by jumpinjewels on May 16, 2010) |

We're getting a 6x12 Hallmark motorcycle trailer. It's a 1999, low boy trailer. It has a ramp door, which is nice. Dan just felt he needed something just a little bigger. We may be heading out to do some dirt biking next weekend with the toy hauler. Our maiden voyage. It's our 11th anniversary. Probably go down to Woodland Park cause rampart is still closed (as of today anyway) |

Sounds good Julie. You inspired me on your ride to Deckers yesterday, so I rode there today. On the way back, I ended up going along the Platte and up over Rampart (just to check it out) to Sedalia and home. 3 miles of hard pack dirt road up to Spucewood, but good condition. |

So the XB did OK going up the steep hard pack. Dan would love for me to try that but it kinda scares me. I don't think I'd take the 1125 but I might try it with the XB. |
