After I shut the bike down and the fans stop I hear what sounds like the fuel pumping starting and stopping for about 10 minutes. Does anyone else notice a similar noise on their bikes? I am just trying to figure out what it is. I have an 09 cr by the way. |

That's normal. It cycles on and off and 10 minutes sounds right. |

The ECM keeps the fuel rail pressurized for 10 minutes after shut-off. For anyone else who is searching |

If you did a search before asking it'd save you some time - alternatively RTFM, it's in their too... |

can ebr kill the fuel pump after shut off in the race ecm. i cant stand it and ill gladly key on twice to prime it. |

the pump runs after shut down to keep the preasure in the fuel rail high enough so the fuel stays as a liquid to help avoid vapor lock its not the priming factor in it |
