I just wanted to ask before going to the store and buying some fuel line. Is the correct size 3/8 for the connection to the PCV valve to eliminate the molded stock hoses? Is there a specific outside diameter that I should try to hit to close off the airbox? I'm probably going to use the U shaped hose to plug the airbox as opposed to some sort of plug, seems the best way to do this to me. |

3/8" is the correct size and the standard fuel hose should be big enough to plug the holes. I used sensor friendly black RTV sealant to fill the holes. |

I am still undecided on plugging the holes. An extra chunk of tubing in the holes is about the most simple way of doing it. I also thought about filling each hole with RTV. Ultimately I won't decide until I actually do it. Need to wait until me catch can arrives before I go buy hose and T or Y connector to make sure it doesn't have a different size connector on it. |

I bought a generic can because I don't want to spend that much money right now. Not going to be as elegant as the Drummer, but will work and be way cheaper, around $25 with shipping and all I need is the hose and an outlet filter of some sort. http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productdetails.as p?RecID=4703 It says it will take 1/4 to 5/16 hose, but I'll probably wait until it gets here next week. It shipped on Friday. Also need to make some sort of saddle mount for it, probably strap it to the V bracket next to the oil cooler. |

Is there any advantage to having a catch can? I just have the hose ran down even with the bottom of the chin fairing with a bolt screwed into it. I figured that could hold a few ounces of oil if it didn't leak past the bolt. |

If the end of the hose is sealed (the screw) then the gasses and other goop will never get out of the engine. |

I have a breather filter teed off by the oil cooler. Just curious if the can is really needed. I do pull the bolt out every couple months or so. |

A lot of people just run a breather, kind of depends how much stuff you expect to come out. |

That's a nice one Greg. Wow! Damn good price on it too. If I hadn't got mine from Mike Norris (mine doesn't have the Drummer logo) I'd probably just have a film can and a filter. He made my timing cover also. Great guy, too bad he doesn't come round here any longer. |

Well the design of that other can is nice, especially since it looks like it belongs. The one I bought will always look like an add on that I jammed on the bike. |
