... Magpul Ronin have cornered the market in what was left of the Buell Rotax bikes - look at the last picture on this page of their site - http://magpulronin.com/ Perhaps they want to go into business with Erik ... |

They took 25 beautiful, rare bikes and are turning them into Transformer clones. Quite a shame. (Message edited by hogzilla on May 14, 2010) |

Think of it like this, they will have used parts for sale for awhile and it makes our bikes worth more in the future, maybe. |

that makes me sad. i mean atleast they could have built something cool out of it like a bobber or something if they really insisted on destroying them. |

Got to sit on it today at work. I didn't realize it but these guys are neighbors, one exit south of The Shop. This bike is really cool in person, like actually seeing Elvis. Finally got to hear the Free Spirits pipe, I like my Drummer better.

I didn't have a lot of time to look at it, but... I'm still not sold on the girder, but it was well built, cast Al, handlebars too. The airbox is smaller, dunno if enough for a negative effect, it does have ram scoops. The tail section looks very RC8/1190 and requires moving all the electrics. I sat on it and wiggled the bars a little and then sat on it while on the stand. Free Spirits rearset was as uncomfortable as OEM, seat was a little harder than OEM. It felt smaller than a CR and without pods, my knees looked/felt odd. I definitely applaud these guys for what they're doing and I like some of the directions they're going. Loretta isn't near this altered, but she's not stock anymore either. Ronin takes "different" to a new level. Zack |

i dont know how they have that set up, but Jenn has an old 80cc mini bike(for the life of me oi cant remember the model, brain fart) that came with the radiator on the front forks where the headlight would be in the windscreen. the hoses conect to the neck then come out of the frame on the other side of the neck. so basically it pumps the coolant through the steering neck. the neck seals just leak, period. i gave up messing with it along time ago. we just run new water in it everytime it gets ridden... |

Not sure why they aren't just selling as parts kits instead of doing a very small production run. Guess I don't want to see the price tag they'll have. |

A whole new level of ugly.Looks like a crash rebuild from a scrap yard. Buell had trouble selling the original, I can't believe any body would want that. |

They took 25 beautiful, rare bikes and are turning them into Transformer clones. Quite a shame. They might as well. Everybody else is too busy bitching about "my dealer won't discount them enough for me" to actually worry about *buying* one anyway... I don't agree with some of the styling choices, but it's a hell of an "out of the box" exercise. And I do like the tail....but the radiator looks like one of the intercoolers out of my turbo cars! |

I wish they would sell me one of those nice red Rs before they scrap another nice bike into a 2 wheeled abortion. |

Say what you will, I bagged the girder front pretty hard the first time I saw pix. Seeing it in the flesh, it's good work and several interesting ideas, The tail section is very sexy, dunno where all the electrix live now, ECM is under the seat on the frame. I want to ride it now that I've seen it and sat on it. Zack |

quote: where are all the electronics, battery, coolant overflow, etc
Battery is above the muffler, the radiator and overflow are mounted to the front. |
