Author Message   Mark_weiss Posted on Thursday, May 13, 2010 - 09:49 pm:        I can't get the thing off! '08 XT, standard 6 piston caliper. Loosened fender/fork guard, removed bolts, pressed pistons back into caliper. Can't clear the mount bosses on the fork. Am I missing something? Service manual procedure states at 2.24 that you have to remove the brake line first , then the bolts and slide it down and off. Seems like you should be able to slide the caliper down and off without removing the brake line...but I've always been pulling the wheel when messing with the caliper.
