She weighed 150 pounds and was on for about an hour. OMG when she got off the bike felt so lite and flickable I couldn't believe it. I knew it was a great bike but if you've never rode anyone on yours trust me after they get off 1 hour of passenger haul'n will put a grin on your faces you just can't wipe off after they get off |

Did you readjust the suspension to compensate for her weight? It makes a huge difference. |

++ to "tighten up the rear preload." The 1125s aren't really designed to be 2-up touring bikes (despite many people using them as such). That said, my gf has come with me many places (she's about 130-135 lbs with full gear) and it doesn't bother me at all. I certainly notice the bike riding heavier, but it's not objectionable. I don't push it nearly as hard with a passenger, so the loss of handling doesn't bother me. It's apparently really quite comfortable as a passenger, which surprised me a bit. |

It all depends on the passenger too. I've had (Ahem) large women whom I hardly noticed, and I've had petite women that were IMPOSSIBLE to ignore. |

Tightening up the preload makes a HUGE difference with a passenger. I've readjusted the entire suspension before, but it seems just cranking up the rear preload is good enough. |

Adjust your pre-loads, especally rear, and if your going to make a habit of it, I suggest the Gripster frame/airbox pads, they will make a huge difference in using less effort in squeezing your legs to prevent your sack from getting crushed against the airbox when she slides forward, also tell her how to ride (ie hands on airbox when decel/braking to prevent her sliding, holding on {obviousily} when on the gas, looking over your shoulder in direction your turning) These things all make it much easier. I can go an easy two hours 2up and be just the same, only less fun in the curves. Syonyk- my girl says the same thing, they're a lower seat height and longer peg brackets I guess when compared to a GSXR or other rice bike. |

On mother's day my 68 year old mother asked to go for a ride on my bike. She said the only thing that would of made it better would have been a windshield. She then rode my brother's 08 sporty. It was the first time anyone had ever rode on the back of my bike. I didn't mind too much being it was my mom. |
