I purchased this Buell at a local dealer in Dallas, TX and it has had its first service at 600 miles. It currently has 1098 miles on the ODO. All of the miles were local with the exception of putting it on a trailer to MO for Christmas last year to run the back country roller coaster roads they have. I am pretty well a Buell nut and this is my 6th bike by Erik Buell. The display stand and panels were purchased from the same dealer as the bike,about 4 months after I picked up the CR. I have been using them in the garage to show the bike since. Actually, the bike was purchased to display only, as it was the last model Buell Motorcycle Company would ever produce, but the dagone bike kept calling me to ride it, thus the 1098+ miles on it. The reason for putting the bike up for sale is pretty simple for me… apparently, I can’t buy a bike to display and not ride and although I ride a lot of different bikes, this particular Buell doesn’t fit me very well. I decided to give it another go and put the high bar kit on it and it was a major improvement, but still didn't do it for me. After I put the hight bars on it, I had the dealer do the charging system upgrade and reflashed the ECM. Well, I have decided to put the 1125CR up for sale and replace it with another Buell, a (Ulysses). The bike comes with the Clubmans (kit w/throttle, clutch and brake cables)as the High bar kit is already on it. Note: The display stand allows you to lean the bike over on the hard mount point welded to the base plate. The mounts will pass through the axle bolts and the neck of the bike will rest on the tall riser. I was never confident that I could get the bike on the stand by myself, so I never used the base plate. Also the bike is pictured with Ulysses foot pegs on the bike. I have the original 1125CR foot pegs that were removed at the time of purchase as well. Lastly, the bike is currently financed through Harley-Davidson Financial Services. This means there will be a short wait on the title after the payment is received. This bike will be listed on ebay too. Ok, after thinking about it for a bit... I would consider... $4200 cash and ($1500-$2k in trades for things that go bang or dirt/dualsport/Buells and classic bikes). Also, I will be keeping the Buell Display (Message edited by slowride on May 09, 2010) | ||

what about trade for an 0912r micah. i'd really like to try a cr. not really cut out for the firebolt. only thing i have to do is get the 1k service done on it. | ||

Damn Ray, I did get it and I even thought about replying to it, but things have been a little crazy around these parts. Well I got a new cr here with your name on it, lol. Do you remember at buelltoberfest the guy on the cbr renting the motoguzzi stelvio. That is the bike I would buy before the tiger, but the bike I would buy before the stelvio would be the duc multistrada (2010). Now that is a broad paint brush, fully selectable engine power and suspension as well as being a v twin. I'm sorry about not replying, I seriously wrote a reply to your email... In my head, doh. Heck I am writing one now for Neil's second email, I just haven't got out of my head onto the ether yet. | ||

i know how easy i can be sidetracked sometimes. even forget to turn on the coffee pot at times. for me it's the sometimers. sometimes i remember and sometimes i don't. | ||

Thats funny Mike(cbr guy)and I have been drooling over the new Multistrada,but quickly dry when looking at the price tag. I drove 5 hours to pickup an 04 Multistrada last Sat., long story short bike had an issue ,no go !! Back on the hunt for something , maybe a Uly or a S3T tuber ?!?!? | ||

you really can't go wrong with the uly. if it had cruise control and some kind of stereo system to listen to, it would be the front runner to the ultraclassic. | ||

yep. that will probably be the last one to go if i had to start down sizing. got to much tied up into it for one thing but it runs great(knock on wood) and it is what it is. just a great bike. | ||

Neal, I have had a few offers, but nothing to my liking. I still have the CR and I am open to interesting ideas. HD owns the title still and I have a pay off balance of $4k. I will NOT give the bike away for $4k or even $5k, so if I have to I will keep it. Neal, If you think of something... ping me as we both have something the other likes. | ||

the only thing i can suggest is do like i told you i did if you can find one low enough. mine is actually lower than my home equity. and if nothing else, i'll just put a lighting tail section and other bars on it and make it a lighting bolt. i won't sell it to get a cr cause of the problem that your having right now. not to many people are buying, but i will trade. |
