Anyone have the urban assault seat? How do like it? What's the comfort level? Looks pretty damn cool...I think I'm gonna buy one. And forgive me, I may be missing something here....but why the hell does all the marketing info say it requires the removal of the passenger footpegs? Also, why is it always referred to as a "solo seat" Sure looks like you wouldn't have trouble carrying a passenger on that long flat stretch of a seat?!?. | ||

Oh, and does anyone have a pic of that logo on the tail? Can't see a direct shot of it on the web....all side pictures. What is that logo? | ||

Ahh, the TT seat. The logo is a pic of a bike with a circle and / through it to denote no passengers. Hope I explained it right. LOL And, I hope the pegs are still workin'  | ||

The logo says "no humpn' whilst ridin'"  The logo is there because the bike it came on did not have passenger pegs. The passenger pegs must be removed because the logo is there. The logo is there.... | ||

there is no grab strap on the seat that is required to have a passenger, that is why the logo is there, has nothing to do with the pegs. | ||

There's really no padding to speak of in the rear portion of the seat, so if you did put somebody back there, they wouldn't be happy for long. To just feel it by hand, it feels padded a bit, but with full body weight, the truth becomes clear. I have an Stt and that, of course, is the stock seat. I dig it for around town riding. Big & broad and it sits up a little higher. Not much room to move around, so for longer rides I put on a standard Ss seat. As you start to push backward to find a better position, you start to get into the un-padded area. Again, I like the seat. If you find one for a decent price, I'd say to get it just to add some variety. I may have a picture somewhere with it on my bike in Ss bodywork; I'll look Hemicbx | ||

Uncommon, I looked at your profile and saw you have an XB9 listed. The Stt seat is for the Ss frame only; it won't fit an S framed bike. Unless of course if they have a specific Urban seat for the short bikes. Hemicbx | ||

It looks tacky with the no humping imprint. My friend just bought an ss. Im a little courious. Why is the lightning with the longest seat the one designed for no passengers. I mean why make the longest seat the one for one person only??? WTF!????????? I dont get where they were going with that. | ||

There are no foot pegs, and no strap across the seat. | ||

Simple, put on the SS seat. It has a strap and cushioning. All you need is the passenger pegs, problem solved. |
