Mine charges at 12.0 to 12.4 after normal op temp is reached at idle is this low or is this in the normal values. |

That is low, but if you are running a lower than normal idle (Erik Buell Racing ECM with low idle or tweaked stock ECM), that is going to happen. |

Sorry Froggy you are not totally right. I have a Battery Condition gauge permanently above my IC and it never shows less than 13-14v when running at any RPM. I have heated jacket and grips and navigation plus the battery gauge. I have the Buell Race ECM and get the same voltage output at lower idle. I have a Torquehammer ECU and a standard ECU and its the same. I have a Jan 08 build 1125R with a 30th Nov 09 Flash and all original components. There is more to it than just idle speed. |

idle speed has tons to do with it. the lower the rpm the lover the stator is spinning meaning that there is less power being produced. |

Lastonetherebuys - Did you read my report? It is a report not my opinion. I am reporting the results on my bike. Not all 1125Rs. As an experiment last week I lowered the idle down to 1000 rpm using ECM spy/Tunerpro and ecmread. The voltage was still above 12.7v. Like I said I am reporting facts. |

my lowered idle race ecm, also stays above 12.5 while idling (varies between 12.5 and 14.2) at idle ...and i believe the 1250rpm idle is "normal" |

What is the stock idle? My manual is in the garage and i'm too lazy to go look! I know when i start it up cold its up around 1600-1700 for about 30 sec then drops to around 1500.. |

This bike idles low with the stock ecm it too is around 13.6 to 14.2 riding it, so I guess all is ok. I sent Erik Buell Racing my ECM back they are going to raise it 200-300 rpm from its low setting now. Samg it was 95 in FL yesterday idle was 12.0 to 12.4 at normal op temp. Man FL is getting too hot, I wanna move to TN or NC. |

My 09 R shows 13.8V at idle and always has since new for 8000 mi. with no problems. |
