Not to say that $50 isn't a lot for a plastic gas can but the equivalent (128 oz.) using the MSR bottles would cost $80 Im not saying that you should need a full gallon of extra gas but you never know. Just saying |

I would love to see someone make a mount that allowed us to put one of these on the top rack, then mount or top box on top of the can. |

I have a Koplin or is it Kolpin? 1.5G tank which is very similar to that tank. I bolted the mount to the triple tail. This is the only pic I can find but the setup is great and I take it everywhere.

I wonder how well it would work to remove the trim panel from the top box and install the mount directly to the box top only when needed. Then take it off and replace the panel for "normal" riding. |
