Hi guys, this is a bit long winded but here goes- I remember reading a post where $275 was mentioned regarding the cost for a new instrument cluster. Can anyone confirm this or find out for me please. A friend of mine has just been quoted over $1500 here in Australia from our local HD dealer so we're thinking it may be more cost effective to source one from the U.S Also does he need to match it up to the ecm as described in this ebay listing - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BUELL-1125R-1125-GA UGE-CLUSTER-ECM-ECU-SPEEDOMETER-/270574616492?cmd= ViewItem&pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=ite m3eff80ffac And finally would a 08 cluster like this one work ok on an 09-10 series 1125? Any feedback would be grateful thanks! |

I just replaced my speedo, the p/n for the 2009 1125cr speedo is Y0500.2AM. if you get a new speedo it will mesh with your current ecm. $1500 is ridiculous, i ordered all my parts from latus-hd when i wrecked my bike, they sell the speedo for $275. https://www.latus-harley-davidson.com |

$275 is dirt cheap! Can anyone post some links please so I can try to order one? Is the 08 cluster missing the gear indicator or anything else?? |

08 is missing the gear indicator, it may also cause problems with the LFL/EM light coming on when cold (no big deal) |

from what i understand once you lonk a cluster to a bike, it is linked to that bike for good. so if you sell your cluster to somemone else, it won;t work with their ecm. here is direct link, just put in the p/n: https://www.latus-harley-davidson.com/harley-david son-part-number-search.asp |

There is a lot of talk about matching an instrument cluster to the ECU. Isn't it to match the IC with the VIN number Not ECU?? I have put three different ECU's on my 1125R and everything works fine each time. I used BUE2D and BUEZD and they all accept Eeprom downloads burns too, thats how a pal and I adjusted my Erik Race ECU to put back the engine braking. |

What is the part no of a 2010 cluster & is it the same as the 2009? (Message edited by babboo on May 06, 2010) |

What if you have a Erik Buell Racing race ecm, will the cluster work properly? |

the IC bonds with the VIN number Not ECU. So any 1125 ECU will run |

So if we buy a cluster & fit it ourselves it wont work? |

if you buy a cluster and fit it will work fine. My bro wrecked my bike and the cluster was smashed to pieces. I ordered a new one, plugged it in, and after 30 min it meshed with my ecm and i was good to go. |

Thanks, that all sounds good! Just out of interest, did your new cluster pick up the original mileage/kms or has it reverted back to zero? |

The mileage is stored in the ecm and the ic, so if you put on a new ic it will mesh with the ecm and it will retain the mileage of the bike. |

When I had my IC changed it did not save the correct mileage. Had to have the cluster sent back to buell to have the mileage changed from zero to the correct mileage. |
