Spidy... can you tell from the parts manual if you can pull the tranny on the XB12 without splitting the cases? |

Yeah, but I've seen them!! Naner, naner, naner! Very cool bikes, I love the new colors and the wheels! I tried my best to get them to let me ride one, I think they were afraid I wouldn't come back with it(do you blame them?). These are going to sell like hotcakes! As usual, I spent quite a bit of time in the Buell booth at the show and the new bikes were very well received by the dealers. Ride to the edge! >>>These are going to sell like hotcakes! These, I suggest, are going to sort the boys and the men among dealers. The days of whining are over. Any dealer who can't make these things fly from the floor is due for a serious look at the way they do business. Am I the only one toying with various individual sacrifices to get my paws on one of these? I am thrilled with what Buell has done. Court |

with the added stroke of the 12, when you put the 9 piston in it will be sticking out of the jug half the distance of the stroke increase! |

Back to the topic thread: Parking at my dealership today, my XB9S was the only Buell among a pig pen of hogs. The salesguy told me that just this morning at the staff meeting they were informed that the XB12's are due in early August. He admitted that he doesn't have much time to find out about the new Buell products. He was too busy trying to help people who were looking at the anniversary Harleys. Over in the quiet Buell corner, a yellow 9S was advertised for $8,495 + tax/license. |

Philip: Pin height is reportedly the same between the two displacements. It's the rod length that's different. The only difference in the pistons is that the 9's is domed. |

interesting! i stand corrected. i was using experience with my ironhead stroker that uses a piston with the pin moved up, stock length rods. edited by philip on July 20, 2003 |

Spidey: My local HD/Buell shop has sold the most Buells in the NW region over the past year, or so I'm told. My salesguy had the day off yesterday. The service dept ("Performance Center") has two dedicated Buell tech's who continue to train on the new Buells. So, yeah, I'd say I'm pretty fortunate. |
