I purchased my bike in 08, and as I intended to use it as primary transportation that year and maybe this year, I decided on getting some rain gear. After looking at several types/brands I settled on the nelson-rigg AX1 in charcoal/silver, it fit well and felt fairly heavy. Well used it in 08 with little issue and my Harley jacket doubled for the top in summer then when it got cold used both pieces. Had many people brag about customer service and just register it on line and your set. so I found a split in the seat and a friend told me they had a repair kit to fix it and would most likely get it for free. I havent rode much since 08 so its got little use. Well another guy said they would most likely just swap it out, nope now I get the "wheres is the receipt" story ,so so much for the online warranty registration. I was looking at some bags but if you would have to keep a receipt for life time, well then whats good on warranty. Any other good rain suit manufacturers ? |

No matter what rain suit you get, it must have a HOOD'ie which you put on you head and then put your helmet on ... IF NOT THE RAIN WATER WILL RUN DOWN YOUR NECK GET YOU ALL WET !!! |

In all honesty my old THH helmet, and my original HD riding jacket did awesome in the rain without a hood, Very little water would get down my neck. I really need t oget into the dealer with jacket cause one lady told me she could search other dealers for a similar jacket, I liked it cause it was wind, water repellent and had the crash panels, but its getting pretty ragged. |
