Ok so I am going from my m2 to my 03 xb9r and I noticed the xb will not let me start it in gear with the clutch pulled in and my m2 would. Is there a way I can change this on my xb? |

Yes. Put the kickstand up. |

Check your clutch switch and make sure it isn't broken. |

Check the clutch switch and the side stand switch, pretty sure mine does the same thing until the clutch is in and the stand is up. Also kills the motor if the stand is down and you let the clutch out. Basically I always put it in neutral when I start it. My Suzuki was like this too, same side stand clutch lockouts so it's not much of an issue for me. |
