I have a 99 S3T with a full D&D race exhaust. I have tightened this thing from the back to the front went over it several times. and right where the rear pipe enters the collector I keep getting a small leak. I am thinking about just getting some hi temp tape or wrap. Has anybody tried this with any success? |

Valco makes some hi temp silicone that works really well. |

The highest temp silicone sealant I have seen is good for a max. of 650 deg F. Most Hi-Temp paint for exhausts is good to 1200-1600 deg F. They do make products for sealing auto exhaust that you can find at your auto parts store. |

Most use the red high temp you can get from any car place. I've used it for years and had no problems. Plus, it's way away from the O2 sensor so no problems there either. |
