Joe Kopp just won the Mile at Yavapai Downs on a 1089 Hypermotard! That's Neat Stuff! |

I'm not sure if a Duck has ever won a National (maybe a Short Track years ago, but I don't know), but it's the first time a Ducati has won a Mile. Maybe there's more to the Hypermotard than I thought. Maybe I should Demo ride one. Win on Sunday, sell on Monday, right? |

It was a great race. Kopp timed a draft pass perfectly and just nipped ahead at the finish line to win the main. The air fence in turn one did its job when several bikes piled into it after one of the heat races. A few bruises but no one was seriously hurt. Nichole Cheza managed to make it to the finish line in her heat race with a flat rear tire and made it into the main. Cold and windy but the racing was great. G |

Hey Crusty, I see that you are from Leominster. Been there long enough to remember Ron's Cycle Sales. Ron is currently living just a few minutes from the race track in question. Steve |
