Insurance costs vary with age, driving record and location....when I bought my XB12s...I got full coverage for $258.00 a year. |

I pay $350 for fire, theft and collision and liability on 2 sport bikes, 1 harley and an old 650 yamaha, thru progressive. I used to be with state farm years ago , but they raised my liability on my 1986 gsxr750 from $125 a year to $1600 in 1990. |

+1 on Progressive. Mine's pretty cheap for a 23 year old male on 984cc XB... I am the the "riskiest" demographic. Sucks about your X1 though... they say people don't steal Buells but thats bs. Thieves have good tastes as well But go with an XB, you'll love it and PLENTY of oem and aftermarket parts available. The XB is like the Civic...the 1125Rs are like the s2000s if you get the analogy. |

Aite... The XB is like the SVT Focus ZX3 while the 1125R is the Mustang GT while the 1190 is the GT |

Meh, I'd go with a WRX and an STI. I've owned an SVT, WRX, and now an STI and find the lumpy torque mill in the XB to be characteristic of my boxer fours. SVT was a fun car...when it worked. Now that the thread is officially derailed, I apologize |

haha well it all helps. I think I will primarily look for an XB now. The only thing that sucks, is that I dont really have any way to get around town. My X1 was my primary mode of transportation. Sucks having to ride a bicycle EVERYWHERE. But if a good deal comes up on an X1, i'll probably still go for it. Thanks for your input guys |

Dude, you need a car!!! Or a cheap mopeds. You can find moped on Craigslist for like $200 or less. Easy to work on and will do the job. But the bike is mad excercise. |

Cars/trucks are a waste of money until you buy a house and need to start working on it. Or picking up in-laws at the airport with luggage. Or transporting pets. Or transporting motorcycles to the race track. Wait, a second... |

How about the X1 is the Hot Rod, the XB is the sports car. Both fun to drive, I'd take the Hot Rod any day. American Family saved me a ton of money over Progressive and Geico. You were wrong, not me. That is all. |

I have both an X1 and XT. I've owned the X1 longer and it holds a lot more sentimental value for me. I tore it down to the frame and rebuilt pretty much everything as soon as I bought it. We just have history That being said, if I could only keep one bike I'd keep the Uly. Both bikes give me that permagrin that we all know and love so well, but my grin is a little bigger while riding the X1. The X1 definitely attracts more attention. The Uly on the other hand handles every type of riding with minimal effort from me. It's more comfortable, easier to live with, easier to ride, pretty much just more refined in every way. I love my X1 to death, but 440 lbs dry - seriously? The Uly barely weighs that much even with all of it's additional accessories and luggage attached. |
