09 Red 1125 CR with the high handle bar kit new in the box never installed(bought it with the bike) The bike is in show room condition just purchased over 3 month ago so a lot of warranty left. I hate to let it go, but will all my other projects i'm just not riding it. Falcon501, I was not actually commenting on your post or your price. I was really responding to Augustus74's post that now it is under priced. The rest of my comment about the $5000 was just stating the facts about what another member got from his insurance company for a stolen bike. That kind of sets a base point to me for what it is worth. Hope you sell it soon. The real question is did you want it sold today or are you willing to wait another week, Month or longer? You will get what your asking from the right person. The one that lives within a few hours of you. Me being on the other side of the country would never buy it at that price due to the cost of getting it back home. Now if the bike was in NY or NJ we might be talking. See now Joel9 is one of your potential buyers. He is able to drive over and get it. Just one problem. He does not have the moola. So if I really wanted it sold I would be calling him to find out how much Moola he was willing to pay. Now this is where the good salesman comes in. You will need to convince him he just can not live without this bike.  Make him an offer he can not refuse. One that he will beg and borrow for just to have it. | ||

Long story short, when my Mustang was stolen, the insurance company said it was worth $3500 (book). The car had been previously appraised at $14000 if memory serves me, and thats what I was paying premiums on. I got more then $3500 but less then $14000, so insurance companies aren't necessarily always right. | ||

A74, What's your point? We are talking about Buells here. Not saying the ins. comp. is always right. Again it sets a base point to me for what it is worth. Again if the bike was priced right for the area he is in it would be sold. Simple. Last week I posted in the WTB section looking for a 09 1125R. Within 30 mins. I had a seller of the one I wanted send me a price. The deal was finished in 1 hr. The price he gave me was the right price to get me to buy it at 2000 miles away. There was no back and forth pricing. He set the price and I agreed. One of the best purchases of a used bike I have ever made. Can't wait to get it at homecoming. Again I think F501 might have to come down a little to sell it to a local person. And I think he will have to come down a lot to make a long distance sale. Just my opinion. Well RKC, I'm trying to sell a 1125CR so I may be tainted but... I think this is a dang good price. Especially around here where they are all gone. I hope it sell quickly and for what he wants. It only takes one buyer. | ||

My point is that the insurance company will give you as little as they can, so I feel $5000 is on the low side. And, not every deal happens in 1 hour. Just glad I'm not trying to sell mine! | ||

Do we need pricing approval from the peanut gallery before we list something for sale? If I paid $3,000 for my brand new 1125r, does that mean they are all worth $3,000? Insurance won't pay you what a vehicle is worth, that's why you put money down or buy gap insurance,duh! This should have been an A,B transaction. I and everyone else not interested should C their way out of it. | ||
