An upgrade to the Blast would not have to end its service-ablity to RE classes, to fix that concern only a dual ignition and fi would be needed - on tanks already prepared for fi, one riding curve for beginners with a built in max of 34 hp, and the other curve set to a Sporting/Cafe 45 hp (1/2 a 9) - consolidating parts and allowing a dual service from the bikes to be served - the CR the ultimate Cafe, and the Blast not only as a RE bike, but also a great basic Cafe bike as well. Just a thought since they keep selling and may have an extended future. Just a thought. EZ |

Court can you see if this cap get passed on to anybody who might need to know? Terry Buelldyno_guy Posted on Sunday, September 13, 2009 - 08:11 pm: Have an early 06, that had the kick stand fail in 07. That stand had new attach bolts, they both failed today following a gas stop before a planned ride. Think maybe they go on a yearly replacement program. Terry - www.jtsperformance.com |

As Court indicated, BattleTrax has fallen victim to ever-increasing insurance rates. When I first started in 1997, insurance was about $250 per event. If I want to insure one today, I need first put up a $5,000 bond, then pay about a thou for the event. I put on an occasional event for self-insured large companies, but that's it. Nothing in the known future. Some dealers think their garage liability policy covers it. Nope. As soon as you tell the agent that the bikes will be moving: no policy. You can lie, but then you jeopardize your biz. BTX became a bit of a hassle as I was spending so much time defending my product from rip-off artist. Notably among these were several dealers. Got a million BTX stories... many involving people here. At one time or another most everything with wheels ran our courses; rental cars, bar stools, shifter karts, sidecar rigs, trikes, bicycles, runners, baby carriages, and even the tractor from one of the Buell demo trucks. The only rider that was never beaten was Don Canet of Cycle World. |

I have a couple cases of decals if I could find the damn things . . they SHIOULD be easily available from any Buell dealer, preferably one of our sponsors. The decal for the White 1998 Buell S1W was: If you don't have any luck . . . let me know. I think all the decals got dumped in that dumpster above and I can have a look. |

.....How's Paul? He's temperamental, surly, have the manners of an Aussie, drinks all my liquor, torments my dog, consorts with persons of ill repute, swears and smokes and drinks to excess. In a word . . . EXCELLENT. His redeeming trait is that he is truly sorry about nearly getting you thrown in jail. Okay . . . I lied. (Message edited by court on October 24, 2010) |

Hey Court, Bill Bailey here. You're getting a little gray ol man. Glad to see you're hanging in there. I never properly thanked you for your support during my "Buell days." We made it thru some tough challenges. When I came "deep" into Buell, I was committed to ensuring Buell would not only survive, but thrive. When Erik & I started the Buell Band, never thought of it being a long term thing; Erik probably did.Sorry I had to Leave the band. Just confirms the saying: "When you're on thin ice, dance." Hope to see ya sometime. And Erik. Bill B. |

Mr. Bailey; I never properly thanked you for all the help you gave me "back in the day". You epitomized Great Customer Service, and I very much appreciate the things you did to make owning a Buell so satisfying. I have quoted you on a number of occasions, "You'll be at Homecoming, if I have to drive out there and bring you back myself". Thank you. |

Court, my bike is a barn built bike? On with another question, my gas tank has a big red airplane fuel cap. How many had this expensive fuel cap? Brian. |

Working on an S1 and an 02 X1 project. Have a chance to buy a 99 1200 XL motor completely rebuilt with an 06 top end. Other than the front mount hole on the XL head it seems to be a drop in for either/or project. Any surprises in store for me? |
