I bought my bike with a VooDoo race exhaust and an intake mod already complete, but it has no race ECM. I would like to install one strait from Eric Buell Racing. Preprogramed. What else will I need to do besides install it? |

If your bike is pre 2008, you will have to have a dealer re-set the Throttle Position Sensor. Send EBR a note with your question. Any exhaust that they haven't tested is an open question as to suitability of a "tune" out of the box. |

the fact is probably no aftermarket ecm or preprogrammed race ecm, is just plug and play, and drive away. No ecm manufacturer guarantees that. The ebr ecm is probably your best bet. Temperature, altitude and exhaust are always going to effect your state of tune and be prepared that you many have to do some dyno or retunning to the ecm. |

If your bike is pre 2008, you will have to have a dealer re-set the Throttle Position Sensor. Can't TPS reset be done with cable and ECMSpy? |

Yes you can do it yourself with ECMspy, but its non-issue on Brightbuell's bike as the TPS reset can be done in seconds with the throttle. |

http://badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/4 47082.html?1238194189 Page 25 of the ECMSpy tuning guide, which is found here http://www.ecmspy.com/download/BuellTuningGuide_EN _V2.0.pdf As for the cable, Xopti sells them at www.xoptinside.com or you could find someone in your area that has one you can borrow. I see you're in Saint Louis... I looked at the Storm Front section (where all the local forums are at) and didn't know which one to pick. (Message edited by b00stzx3 on April 28, 2010) |

You must of missed the part where I said he doesn't need ECMspy.
quote:To reset an 08+ Buell, do the following: 1. Turn on the key. 2. Set the kill switch to the run position. 3. Don't start the engine. Rotate the throttle from fully closed (gently forced closed) to fully open (gently held open), and then back again to closed (gently forced closed). 4. Repeat 3 times. Hold each position (fully open, fully closed) for 1 full second. 5. Turn the key off and on.
