Ok I tried a Search in the KV and my browser kept kicking out an error "Can't View this Page" or the one time it did work no luck! My cyclone fork lock, has been sticking on me the last couple days and almost left me stuck at Hardee's because I could not get it unlocked! Where Can I get a new lock and how will that work with my Ignition? Will I need a seperate key or will the "lil" tab that came with my key When I bought it new let me get a new lock that will work with what I have? And how do I remove that Damn thing? I always lock my forks so I would like to resolve this issue soon! Thanks! |

to answer your question, no, you still use the key # (on each key, btw) to order a new key. if you find the right locksmith, you can bypass h-d |

lube the lock first with wd40, then a graphite penetrant. you may fix it that way |

+1 on lube the lock. When I first bought mine the lock was frozen solid. I sprayed "super lube" and let is set for a minute. Then I still had to apply a bit of force back-and-forth on the key before it broke free. Make sure the bars are turned enough to the right. Has been working great ever since. Super lube is a PFTE (Teflon) that is suspended in a liquid that evaporates. Works great on locks. I'm sure glad I didn't have to buy and install a new lock pin. |

the fork lock comes out very easy. Just one set screw holds in it. If you do need a new one Harley can match it to your key. |

Thanks Everybody! I did try the WD but that did not seem to help any! I wil stop by the autoparts store and pick up sometype of Super lube or Graphite lubricant and see if that helps any! If that does not work I guess I'll pick up a new lock. Whenever I park my bike I always lock my forks, It makes me feel better knowing if someone did try to steal my bike They would not have an easy go of it! |

Just don't forget to unlock them when you take off... (Don't ask me how I know what happens) |

WD is like water. Get some real penetrant like InForce from BG, or even some plain ol' cable lube with graphite in it. I use WD40 as a parts cleaner solution and that's about it. I also use - when I park in a bad neighborhood - a front rotor lock with the bright orange "HEY DUMMY" coily-cord that goes to the throttle grip, to remind me to take the damned thing off before I have to buy a new rotor Fork lock? I guess each bike has one....maybe that's what the other keys are for on my S1W and my S2. |

Actually that lock is of little deterance to a determined thief, one swift kick to the left side of the handlebars and "SNAP"!!!! |

Well I guess If they really wanted to steal it they are going to, but every little bit helps! Maybe if a thief is messing around trying to bypass a lock, someone might notice and alert authorities! If I am going to be away from my bike a long time I also use the cable lock I picked up from the Buell Promo Deal a while back! When not in Use I just wrap it around my Frame so it is also always with me! |
