I'm pretty good at taking things apart but putting them back together is another thing. I'm doing a topend job on my 99 M2, everything is going fine except for the C clips for the wristpins. Any tricks or "non special tools" to get them to go back in? Has anyone used a snapring as a replacement? Adam |

I put'em in by finger. Needle nose pliers is a sure way to distort and/or nick'em. I just get the upper half started with the opening at 90n degrees and then shove'em the rest of the way in. It's not that difficult. |

Just don't mix HD/Buell wrist pin circlips with Wiseco Pistons, etc....I always get them in by hand also..the best circlips IMO are the Spiral locks..never had one failed, whereas a HD circlip broke in half on me. Dale A.

Thanks Rattler, I'll give another shot with the finger. Are the spiral locks easier to get in? What model do they come off of? |

Spiral locks are totally different than stock type circlips..more like a spiral key ring. Zippers performance sells them. Dale A. |
