I have an 08, and I don't worry. I see your point about possible concern, but you're not having any prob's, and the engine is IMHO the least thing I'd worry about on these bikes. The ECM & electronics worry me a little, but no prob's so not really. I got an EBR ECM and it hums smooth as silk now, $250 upgrade well worth it. Hec I just did a complete swingarm swap with CR to get the gearing I want, so I'm set. I hate dealing with prob's myself, work hard & play hard, but not deal with prob's when I want to play. But I don't worry about the bike, I really think they're solid. If you go by posts, there's always an exageration feeling on the inet about prob's, as people with prob's post for ranting & help, the thousands without a prob, don't. If you go to other bike forums you can find tons of traffic on prob's, all bikes have lemons, but I think the 1125, and Buell in general, has had very solid stuff, few exceptions. Now, hopefully I didn't just jinx both of us. | ||

I worry about stuff every day. My Rotax engine is not one of the things I worry about. I recently went to some automotive drivability classes, if you own a Ford Triton powered truck I would worry about that instead.  | ||

The problem started in the middle of his opening statement. Engine failure blah, blah, blah, piece of sh##. Hmmmmmm, Well Skizzy, , normally when someone calls me an, as you say, "...whiney bitch...", my first instinct would be to make him preface that with a "Mr." But I'm a forgive and forget kind of guy. (However, I think Fresnobuell makes a fine point.) That said. I am not aware of anybody anywhere who has ever "blown" an 1125, major lip burns not being an issue. I think Froggy should allow him to continue to post, as I would like to know what made him think that a Buell 1125 was susceptible to exploding. All humor aside...where did he come up with that? I think that at the Dark Dog last year, Pike's peak, and at the AMA, ruggedness and reliability were real Buell hallmarks. | ||
