There are a few here but not that many. There always a few from every manufacturer that will blow. Not a common issue though. It is under warranty ride it and don't worry about it. |

Well guys start posting mileage figures up. I know somebody has hit 30,000 miles with no major problems. Personally I have 7500 miles on mine. Stator failure and Harness upgrade. No other mechanical problems. |

so for no reason what so ever you are worried about it blowing up? if its a piece of shit whyd you buy it? i mean, you really didnt state any reason for thinking its about to die... it could be called paranoia yes people have had an engine failure. so have people with kawhondamahazuki's and chevy and ford and toyota and vw and dodge and rascal scooters and 747's and... and... and... and i'll take it before it blows up for a good deal if you want. or even after it blows up... i can always use more parts, or more bikes... |

Its a Rotax, what are you worried about? As far as I know there aren't any ceramic bushings, so it will be fine. I think the two were a cracked case and a rod, I'm not 100% sure. 0.02% fallout isn't too bad. |

I just get worried about that, I wanted to see what people had to say. I do like the bike but haven't had a chance to ride it much yet. I have a XB9S too so I split time on both bikes. |

The Rotax motor is the one thing bulletproof on this bike and the one thing I don't worry about...look at the RMR bikes. Not one mechanical DNF all of last season and I don't believe the cases were ever cracked on those motors for maintenance. |

As John Stewart would say "Uh, go yourself." If you think the 1125r is shit then you are either a liar or a massive retard. |

I have 40,000 miles on mine. 10k of those are *track* miles. I beat the ever loving shit out of this thing. No major problems. The motor is tired at this point, but that's to be expected from *any* brand that gets the kind of abuse mine does. Worst case: brand new motor will run you $3,500 or so. I know of a couple of sources, because I'll probably put a new one in my track bike in the fall. |

I'm not a retard or liar I said I was tired after work and heard a lot of shit. There is no need for insults I asked a F@#$#NG question. And if I want to call my bike car or anything else I own a piece of shit I am allowed to do that. Enough of this thread. I often wonder why I even ask things because it seems to turn into some kind of stupid response BS. And now I will get even more shit YEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAA Boys |

Just remember Skiz...Words mean things. Especially in the hyper-sensitive world of BWB. If you choose to let your fingers to the talking before your brain housing group processes it be prepared to have the troll flag thrown. We have all talked out our ass before...don't take it personal. Now that you're not so tired, you have to see how controversial that question was and must have expected to get the answers you got. I have 10,500 on my 08 and have never even thought of the motor "blowing." I'm curious as to why you really think if would frag? Are you hearing noises or little people? If you really want to sell it, come up with a better reason than you are afraid it's going to blow. (something like damn this bike is too much bike for me...i need to go back to my Vespa) At least while it's still under warranty you have no valid concern. After warranty, go right ahead, as it is on you're dime then. Moral of the story...again, words mean things...and don't your posts so personal.

Ask a stupid question and get stupid responses. If your post was only "Any one with a 1125 R or CR have an engine failure?", then you wouldn't of come off looking like an ass and a troll, and you would of had just about nothing but legitimate answers. Instead, you call the bike a POS, mention selling it. You offended many owners (me included), so they responded accordingly. Next time, don't post like a douchebag. Simple as that. |

That is why I said I was tired and stuff I thought that would explain the tone of my question, If I didn't love Buells I would not own 2 of them. |

warranty should take care of it. I had a friend that had a problem with a 09 uly they replaced the engine. it had to do with soemthing at the factory, they did not put all the seals on the pistons I believe is what he told me. |

That is why I said I was tired and stuff I thought that would explain the tone of my question, That's a reasonable answer............if you are 6 years old. Really, tired and stuff? Now if you were drunk that's completely understandable and happens quite a bit here |

Thread title: "Blown Engine" Opening post: "Any one with a 1125 R or CR have an engine failure. I'm getting worried about having this bike, 2009 1125r white and am considering selling it. I want to ride not work on a piece of shit." Oh, but you were "tired"? Best advice I can offer... 1. Worrying is for pussies. 2. Don't be a pussy. |
