Not sure what happened but latetly it has been super easy to find neutral? Events prior to super easy Neutral finding: Fouled plugs twice, Flashed new ECM, changed oil for AMSoil, Installed comfort kit. Whatever the reason its really nice to not have to figit with it to get it to go to neutral. |

No clutch adjustments? Mine became more easy to shift over time. They're a bit tight from the factory. |

Amsoil in the primary? Also the primary chain when too tight can cause difficulty with shifting as it get a little loser it softens up a bit or so has been my experience. |

When I switched to Amsoil in my Honda ST1100 years ago, I was initially shocked at how nicely it shifted, and it shifted pretty nicely already. I think you just convinced my to try Amsoil for my next change in the Uly. |

Amsoil in both, it makes it easier because it's all the same. Been putting it in mine as soon as they hit 500 miles. |

Same Amsoil in both? Got over 325K from a Citation 4 cylinder on Amsoil...it was still going when we broke the frame...pulled the head to put on another and the ring wear was insignificant on the cylinder. Changed the oil religiously every 25K. Same Amsoil in gears and crank? |

Here is the funny thing, I was already at the dealer to de the ECM reflash I seeing as I had fouled the plugs a couple of times recently I figured I'd ask the dealer to change the oil & filter while he was doing the ecm flash. I brought in 3 bottles of AMSoil for him to use. Thats all. |

If the clutch and primary drive chain are properly adjusted finding neutral is easy. If you didn't change anything then the primary chain has stretched to a good point of adjustment or the clutch has worn to the correct adjustment. The primary chains are set quite tight from the factory. Easy to check both to verify. 3 qts of oil is not enough for both the engine and primary so you should check oil levels immediately. According the manual your engine needs 2.25 Qt and the Primary needs 1 for a total of 3.25qts. |

Note for people not reading closely... A Chevy Citation does not have the same demands on oil that a motorcycle has. Nor for that matter, that a modern car has. Don't run your Buells for 25k miles between oil changes. We now return you to our regularly scheduled program.... |

Mine shifts into neutral fine when costing to a stop, but is harder to fine when sitting still. |

Agreed, Amsoil in both rocks, plain and simple. The argument will soon ensue though, but I agree with the masses, a quality Synthetic approved for primary use will always make a difference, though it was hard to tell going from Formula+ to Amsoil, other then I did it so I would in no way EVER AGAIN support the Harley Dogshit machine again. Rr-eater-I hope Hardley stays in business until the aftermarket is up and running and many, many buell replacment parts are available. I would hate to lose them just now. |

Well mystery solved. I talked to the guy who did my oil change, and turns out he said he noticed that my clutch needed a little adjustment, so he adjusted it. MMcC |
