Any idea where I can purchase this part? (rubber block that is glued onto frame to prevent top triple clamp from gouging the gas tank) Stopped at my local HD dealer that had a buell sign and his reply was they are out of business. Asked if they could cut a barrel key and was told the machine broke and they can't afford a new one. Guess they are going out of business soon also. |

This should be the PN 50210-97Y(from my 1997 S3 PART BOOK) PROTECTIVE PAD(2) which go on each side of the frame ... Go to a LOCAL KEY SHOP who will make you a BARREL KEY as that is what "i" do ... They are not going OUT OF BUSINESS, just getting BUELLs off the road any way they can !!! The only time "i" go to a H-D Dealer is when there is no other way to get a part other than buy SYN3 20W50 oil ... There are some sponser'ing H-D Dealers on BWBers that "i" would deal with ... |

The rubber bumper stop kit for the M2 is Part# Z0023.L,the kit comes with adhesive. The last kit I bought the glue was hard so I used Super Glue Gel and it worked fine.I usually just ask by part number rather than the bike |

scdobber if you have an old H-D/BUELL PARTS BOOK as mine is, the parts person runs it on the computer and gives the what "i" call the NEW BUELLschitte part number which confuses them even more ... "i" never go into a Dealership without a PART NUMBER especially if it is a part that retro-fits from the SPORTSTER line(plat forms)... |

I think finding a good dealer is the key,my dealer which is a hour away is always happy to help with my Buell as well as the service department team, the dealer less than 30 minutes from me will stop you dead in your tracks with the mention of Buell. It really sucks,I often wonder in the years to come will we be able to get parts for these bikes,if so what kind of prices are we looking at |

Thanks for all great ideas. The retail supporters of this web site are great. Parts are on the way. I got to say I really like the way the bike rides. I am not a newbie to riding as this is my 55th bike I have owned. Seems to be just what I needed getting of a 2003 HD duece. That bike was like a garden tractor from sears even with the 107 kit. I really understood why they come with little Hp from the factory. Damm ill handling motorcycles thats why. |
