What were the symptoms of the vapor lock? I have put 20000 miles on 1125s with CA canisters, and haven't noticed anything foul. Or am I just overlooking something? |

Guess I'm doing the cannister myself...the mechanic at the shop told me, just don't fill it up all the way to the top and there should be no dripping. Got home after filling up--but not all the way--and still drip and fumes. |

You guys are filling to the first hole right? not clear up to the tip top? I always stop at the first hole.. after my long ride home after the 620 service, i had not one drop of gas in the garage after 80 miles. happy about that! |

Filled up to below the first hole and still got fumes and some dripping when I got home. I also just got the 620 service. |

the dealer put my cannister in friday and I finished it friday night. the rear reservoir was not screwed down. the relay was not moved toward the frame and kept the can from sitting down nicely. The hose from the tank going over the air filter cover was not seated well into it's groove. To top it all off the forward hook of the seat was not secured properly! In my reassembly I noticed on the bottom of the can opposite the two hoses there is a nipple in the middle of the can with no hose for it. What goes there? The service manual speaks of a bracket I don't think I have one of those, mine was just stuffed in. were the brackets in the pictures? THX |

Danny, judging by that description, it doesn't sound like award-winning attention to detail from your dealer on that bit of work. But to your questions, here's my take >> I'm not by my bike, but I don't believe there are brackets for the carbon canister. It just seems to tuck in there and stay put. The open nipple (opposite the end where the hoses connect) should be open. It needs exposure to fresh air for the process. |

It sits there just fine on its own. And like Milleniumx1 says It needs exposure to fresh air for the process. You can put a pipe on if you like but its absolutely not necessary |

Mine drips for a good hour after riding and this is in North Texas. I can't wait until it's 105 degrees outside, it'll probably drip without even riding it. |
