D, I use an Aquabox for my phone, good stuff! Only issue is figuring out what size box you need. I am pretty sure I am using a medium for my HTC Touch Pro |

Spent an hour messing with some of this today since the wife had me running all over the place and blew my plans out the window. I will say this, the rear O2 sensor is a BITCH to get out. Got both changed and did it without dropping the swingarm or anything else, harness ran to the rear seat for both, but had to stop there for the day. Is there an auxilary power supply up front on the R? I recall someone said there was. I need 12 volts that is only on when the key is on. I need another one under the seat, total draw is 3-4 amps max I think. Froggy, thx for the pic, thats kinda what I'm looking for but that sure is a busy looking setup there. Got a missile guidance system in there somewhere? |

Each of the SM-AFR's will draw just over 3 amps while the sensor is heating up and then level off at just about 2 from what I remember. |

Yes Dean, there is a plug up front near the headlights that is the aux power. I don't have a pic of it, but its grey. You should be able to stick your hand between fairing and headlights and feel for it. I'm sure the Frogster has a pic! |

my poor xb was a mess when i started logging way back it had screens all over the place. your going to love the new stuff. plus we are working on the OPS.exe you will do it with ecmspy. then actually data log and run through a converter program to load to mlv for mapping the fuel. all we need to do is address the lines. invert the table and axis. sounds easy but its tricky I am told. this will move the maps to and from tuner pro files. there is one guy who has it working already. He may be here also. If not together we are all working on it now. soon it will hit the net for free... your going to see just what I did on the dyno. I logged bike set to the rider It will read the afr up top on the dyno as incorrect. unless you have a slight load on it. when the rider is on the bike its spot on on the road. thius allowed me to creat a custom load setting to match the datalog and afr. from there you can tune on the dyno. I prefer the data log every bike to the rider. this way a skinny guy gets his tune to a less weighted bike and less wind resistance where a huge big guy gets the same(more wi\eight/wind. A bike tuned to them on the bike. Now thats a tune no dyno can beat. same thing goes for suspension. a skinny guy uses different settings than a fat guy. why wouldnt the fuel be different? wait it is. A simple test... you can get a girl say 125 lbs or lighter and do some data runs. Then look at the maps. now find the biggest rider you can. 250/300 up lbs. data log the same speed same way. you will see a difference in the maps. |

I need to find the matching plug for that accessory outlet. Part numbers for the plug and pins would be good. I have the PLX stuff mounted but I don't want to run it without a permanent plug for juice. |

good news we are posting slowly the way to datalog with ecmspy for all the 1125 and xb bikes 2008 and newer. a simple excel/openoffice sheet I produced moves the arrangement of the files. Now everything is pasted from that to megalogviewer. From there you past that data into the excel/openoffice page for it and it creates the data to be pasted into tunerpro where you started. save the file the upload to the bike with ecmread. poof done. relog with ecmspy. go slow on logging as in log small zones at a time. no fast throttle movements and do as little decel as possible during the log. you dont want a lot of data with accel fuel and decel fuel recorded into the log. mike |

What's normal for a wideband controller reading at cruise? Mine was all over the place tonight. WOT dipped below 8:1 and stayed there for a long time. It's running fine, so I think something isn't reading correctly. |

the aux connector is the grey one with the two black dots, it has a cover on it to keep dust out.

There is no freaking way your motor is running an 8:1 AFR. With gas that would almost be hydro lock (I'm exaggerating slightly). You must have something connected wrong Dean... What outputs are you using from the SM-AFR's to connect to the Display? |

Just the one that came with it, daisy chained together, last one (rear cylinder) is terminated. From the rear SM, goes to the front SM, then up to the data logger/display. Cruise showed 11-12:1 which is way off, WOT showed well below 8:1 and it was screamin along just fine. Killed the bike, let it settle down with the display still on, it went to 14:1 or so. Something isn't quite right for sure. I did connect the narrow band output back to the wire harness for the original inputs to the ecm. Not showing any codes or anything, bike ran fine except for it died at idle 2x yesterday. Never had that happen before either. |

Hmmm. Well I've never chained them together before. They come with the termination jumper installed so that's the only thing I could think of playing with... Maybe try giving them a call, they are really helpful and should get you going in no time. If you just key the bike on with the motor not running do they read lean after they warm up like 18.8? They should. |

No, I ran it through the aux plug up front, it won't stay on unless it's running, the exception being if the motor dies on it's own I guess. That's where I saw the 14:1 on the display. I can find a fused key-on line that I can feed from instead of the aux/relay setup. The front sensor is not terminated, the rear is as per the instructions. I'll try calling tomorrow, out of time today. |

My bike reads close to 14.7 at cruise, it does go up and down slightly like it should. WOT 12 to 13. My system had to be calibrated with the O2 sensor out of the pipe first, does yours? Mine has been verified accurate again recently. |

I definitely have something going on. It was stuck on 14:1 with the occasional blip to 10:1 while cruising. I tried connecting to it (the data logger) via usb, no luck. Says no device is available. |

At this point, I'm not super happy with this. My readings are all over the damn place from one day to the next. 11:1 the first day, 14:1 2 days later, now it's 18:1 and it stays locked there now, regardless of load or throttle position. On the first day, at least it was moving around some, now it just locks in on a reading and stays there. It won't connect via the usb cable to the data logger and the bike doesn't have an ODB2 connector either, so this is starting to make me unhappy. I may just have a bad set of AFR's and data logger, waiting on a response from PLX on what I need to try next. |

Idk what the hell is going in with your readings... I've never had an issue. But I've also never used 1 sensor to read 1 cylinder either. In my setups, 1 sensor always reads and sees an average of 4 cylinders. |

I don't either, although they suggested moving the sensor 26-30" away from the head. Unfortunately, that's pretty much useless as it would put them down in the midpipe. There are 2 separate fuel/spark maps for the ecm, one for the front, one for the rear. I can see moving the sensors 10" maybe, but not 2+ feet. The sensors are Bosch LSU 4.2 models, pretty generic and widely used. I'm going to try running off of a different power line and find a better ground, using the accessory plug might have something to do with all this. It appears that this setup would be pretty hard to screw up, there's really not that many connections. Power, analog output to narrowband, serial transmit/receive and the wideband connector. The last unit in the chain is terminated with a jumper, which I currently have connected to the rear cylinder. Anyone have good solid info on what the exhaust gas temps are coming out of the engine on these? If it's over 1850 fahrenheit, then maybe that's part of the problem, but I don't see it hitting that temp. I could be wrong though. |
