I've had the charging harness update done and have a EBR ECM. I'm going to denoid it and need to know if i still need the resistor or does the ecm now take care of it?

You still need the resistor.

with the ebr ecm the noid will not activate...so no need to do anything with it.

Earlier forums suggested that you do not need the resistor changed out if you run the latest EBR gas ECM.
If I am wrong please let me know because it could be the key to my surging in lower rpm's in lower gears.

I talked to someone at EBR today and they said you don't need a resistor. The ecm doesn't do anything to the solenoid. You can leave everything hooked up if you want or remove it for weight savings or whatever. If completely removing the solenoid he recommended the resistor just to close up the connector so it doesn't corrode.
