I am glad to hear the report on the headlight. Honestly the light isn't THAT much better at night, but I definitely notice more people paying attention to me with it during the day. It has been a great safety upgrade. In fact, I have a high beam on order. ac |

Nickg, Is the headlight blinding? I have had it about a month and haven't been flashed at yet. If it is blinding to you, on a highway with a median in the daytime, that might be an issue. ac |

Possibly. I have to drop off his bike at Long Branch tomorrow. Had a cooling fan seize and blow a fuse so he may be out. I thought this topic could have been about him but he rides the back roads from Denville to Mahwah and his bike has red and black plastics. |

Route 80 has almost killed me before. I was the recipient of an ENTIRE retread at 65+mph on my SV. Went under the front wheel and under the bike. I basically jumped it dirt bike style. Ripped the left rearset clean off the bike, shifter and all. I had a huge bruise on my leg. Front rim had a nice scar, as did the exhaust. Scared the heck out of me. ac |

I have the fractured rearset in my garage to remind me. I was riding home yesterday and saw another one. I got to slalom pretty nicely at 65+mph to avoid all the pieces for about 1/2 mile. ac |

That reminds me, Tony sent me a pic of a bat plastered on his knee from taking his race bike out for a test ride at night! I will have to get him to send it again. Pretty crazy. |

I would take my chances with a retread over a deer, turkey, possum, ect on a back road. |
