That is a nice little short ride Kerri. Just right for passing a little time. I'm gonna do that Sunday about noon from the Mtg. Green Sinclair as I've got to do just a short ride and be back in town for a birthday party about 2:00. Anybody going to be out riding? Weather looks great! Bob |

Kerri - if the price is right, we can talk. I'll probably want more that you can buy them for, so it may not work out for ya. Nice ride in this morning - hope it doesn't rain today. |

Jeff, if you're not going to run the EBR ECM, what will you be doing to enhance performance with your new exhaust and K&N air cleaner? |

Bob - I do plan to run EBR ECU, but there may be a "problem" with current version. I should find out today from my source deep inside the EBR organization. |

Hope you let us all know if there IS a problem. Michael at EBR has been my "go to guy" and after the only problem I knew of; the TOS (tip over sensor), which was corrected with the one I received, mine has been outstanding, a #YO152.10AZ. Are you talking about the programmable one or the plug and play? |

Kerri, sorry I missed you guys, got caught up in spring cleaning and Riverdale's pickup day. But for me, like I said in a previous post, I'm just going to do a ride around Pineview from the Mt. Green Sinclair and back. Be at the station about 1200 PM and I have to be back in town about 2-3 for a birthday party. Gotta get at least a little seat time in on such a beautiful day dawning. Join me if you would like, always enjoy company. On another note from EBR's facebook: their 1190RR took poll at a race in Germany and WON! Way to go elves and with his debut album out with Erik and the Thunderbolts, life is good for our founder. Rock on Erik. We now have a world beater. Everybody please stay safe out there and I'll see you on the road somewhere. Bob |

Bob - sorry we missed you. Got the race can and ECM on over the weekend, so not much riding yesterday. Fired it up late yesterday, and that bee-yotch is pretty loud. Maybe loud enough to get the attention of Ogden's finest. I guess we'll find out later this week.... |

Jeff, below are two links to different inserts to quiet a real loud exhaust system. Both are designed to go into straight header collectors for race cars where the is a municipal sound law limiting a certain decibel of sound. Both only reduce a few decibels but take a lot of bark out of a system. Mine was a little too loud and I am using one right now with great success along with EBR's ECM. It has adapted real well to my system. I also used one on my M2. They are said to not reduce maximum (redline)H.P.very much and actually enhance the mid-ranges which I have felt. The inserts can be easily put in and taken out to go racing, a real plus. I bought my first one which fit my 2 1/4" M2 exhaust but I made one for my 1125R as it was a smaller diameter pipe. I used some engineering to insure I had enough flow but cut noise nicely. They do work. Take a look at these: "www.carchemistry.com" and: "www.afabcorp.com/AFCO_Dynatech_USbrake/merchant.mv c?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=Dynatech&Category_Code=Mu fflers" |

+1 on that Vortex cone. I have one in my Harley. It has an ear-spliting megaphone pipe on it so I stuck a Vortex cone in there and that really toned it down. It still growls, but it doesn't hurt any more. I also put a set of Big City Thunder "ThunderMonster" baffles in there too...nice mean tone now. I suppose they might work in a Buell as well. All of them are very easy to install. |

Hey, what kind of oil & filters are you guys running? I just realized that I need to do my first service (like 200 miles ago). |

Kerri, My first two oil changes were with HD filters at $20.00 each from So.Valley when I bought my bike. Since then I have been using the ones from the e-bay link below. I had originally bought the two plug washers from HD so I got the ones with just the filters minus the "O" rings and washers for a little less money. In quite a few I have never had to change the washers with carefully torquing of the plugs and have never had a leak. Most say to change them every time. I do not agree because of my long experience with other bikes and cars. I think its a bad mechanic procedure or a mfgr. parts selling point. There are a few threads on oil & filters on BadWeb also. And I cannot tell any difference with these Hi-Flo filters in either appearence or function. On oil: since my first change I went with Mobil 1 15-50, as many are using, changing just once a year as I rarely put more then 2000 miles on my bike. I was using 20-50 Mobil 1 V twin in my M2 @ $7.00/qt. but the 15-50 is somewhat cheaper and just as good, (you now know how I run my bike......hard), both from Walmart. The guy below has been reliable for the filters. Stay safe gal. I noticed that some of you want to ride the twisty's but are worried about snow, ice, etc.Have any of you ridden over Johnson's pass (now Fisher Pass)? It's in Scull Valley,S.W. from Tooele,9 Miles of tight twisty road, this road was made for Buells and is always open.Probably a bit of a ride for some of you, but,if you live in S.L.it's worth the trip.I live in Grantsville so it's where I go when I don't have much time or when Wolf Creek is closed. |

Thanks much Robert, that sounds like it would be real fun especially on our Buells. And undoubtedly Wolf creek is outstanding and a nice burger at Hanna's cafe for the return. Can't wait 'til that opens. Welcome aboard to our little group. We will have to get together soon. Bob |

I heard from another guy from a different site that was interested in hooking up with some fellow Buellers. He splits his time between Tooele and Antelope Island (works there) so I bet he'd enjoy a ride closer to home. I'm trying to get him on here. Saturday is kinda looking good.... |

Just caught the noon weather Kerri and looks like 62 and mostly sunny both Saturday and Sunday. I really like Sunday better as much less traffic and most cagers don't have their mind on shopping, their job, etc. Maybe time for another ride to East canyon resort as not too much else open yet. I'm also open to fit with other riders schedules. Anybody else? I'll most likely be on the road somewhere. Bob |

Also, here is a link (below) to Utah main canyons for closing & opening but I think we need to see local signposts for actual openings. Saw Old Snow basin sign last Sunday, June 1st. Also they do not list road conditions. I usually do a cage run when I first see them open as I have the time. I will try and update everyone when I do. OMG OMG OMG>>> Listen! (read?) I just got back from Trackstar (yay parts!) and they told me that ERIK BUELL WILL BE AT WSBK AT MMP IN MAY!!!! He'll be debuting the 1190RR here in the states and IT WILL BE RACING IN ONE OF THE AMA/MOM RACES!!!! Kelly mentioned who was going to be the rider, but I can't remember...I am still new to this genre of riding. The Trackstar guys are going to try to do "something special" with Erik and any other local Buellers. I will keep you all posted about what I find out. Sunday sounds good too! I gotta change my oil though... |

Update on Kerri's post above. I just got a message from Erik on his Facebook page after I asked if he could yet confirm this. He said "hoping to....still searching for sponsors". So there it is from the horses mouth, so to speak. It would definitely be great if we could meet him and see the new race bike, the 1190RR that has already won two races in Germany. I'll wait to buy tickets to see if in fact he will be there. Racing should be good though. Probably the full course, speeds to 200 mph, so they say on Millers website. World class riders. Should be great. Also join Erik on Facebook, he only has 1880 friends as of today. LOL. He does reply to timely info. I catch most updates on his private & EBR's Facebook & Twitter sites. Bob |

Went back to Trackstar today to get my Pazzos (woo hoo!) and yes, Erik DID confirm he will be there! I'm psyched. It's gonna be an awesome weekend! Bob, I think they only use the perimeter course...much faster and more exciting in a way. I remember them zipping around the duckhead and right up through the Attitudes. Anyone else doing that Apex day following the races? (Message edited by nightmare1 on April 22, 2010) |

Kind of chilly today in the canyon but boy does this thing make the horsepower with the cooler air. Had to be real careful as I usually am, but had some fun anyways. Hope you guys and gals can make it the next time. Until then, stay well and stay safe. Bob |
