Check out the new and exotic / expensive Ducati Multistrada. Too bad we can't have a 1125 Uly for comparison. 150 HP at the flip of a switch. 4 modes wit not one but 2 nannies. |

Ain't stopping me from making one! If there was an official 1125Uly, sales of air cooled models would dry up |

I just returned from the Library to read the May Cycle World, Peter Eagan picked up a 2009 Blue (like mine) Uly for his collection. Of course the story about the death of Buell was interesting. I think the Uly falls better than the new Multi would with all that plastic. |

20K? Maybe, but not any time soon! A serious change in my economic condition would be required |

This will probably be my next bike, but not for at least two more years - anything that purty (and loaded with computers) needs a garage, and I don't have one yet. Also, I'd like a couple of model years to go by in case all that incredible technology needs some debugging. |

Water cooled engines can make more power. The 1125 Uly was a great concept. A dirt version would have been a GS killer and any 1125 would have give the Duc a run for the money. This genre of motorcycles seems to be growing just due to their practicality and performance. Too bad HD screwed it up. We could be looking at the next generation American made adventure tourer. |

This bike has the same wheel size as a uly. Maybe now, some better off road tires for us? |

@ Spectra, no it has not Uly has a 180, the Duc a 190 rear tire. I talked to a Pirelli rep a couple weeks ago. Pirelli will not test or certify the 190 for the Ulysses." The Ulysses is not made for off road use" is what she said. In Europe, we need approval from the manufacturer. If we mount off specs tires we are in trouble with the cops. Ride safe Werner |

Werner-wow, that is amazing. So easy to overlook the freedom we have in the US. I've had a 190 D616 on my Uly ever since the 180 wore out. Works great! |

Thanks Harleywern, but I said wheels, not tires. Just looking for better tires for fire roads. |

in the UK we can fit any tyre that is the right size. It's only an issue if you have an accident & the insurers look for a way of wiggling out of paying. There is no 'tyre-police' in the UK. I don't know where Werner is. The Multistrada is a road bike that can do easy off road stuff - like a Uly. But with 150 BHP ! Fanatstic. |

Multistrada 1200 S Touring is on my "short list" for my Uly replacement, since no one seems to be able to fix mine. |

@ Spectra, right you said wheels. The Ducati has a 6.00X17 rim, while the Uly has a 5.50X17 rim. The Pirelli rep told me, you should have a 6.00 rim for a 190 tire. @Bryn 1203 the Bobbies in the UK might not punish you, but as you said, you will be in trouble with the insurance in case of an accident. I live in Germany where the is no speed limit on most motorways (Autobahn), the cops are stricter. |

Well, I hope Harley's management team is paying attention. (Probably not) They are so consumed with their "lifestyle marketing" that they are in denial about their demographics. They are selling trikes for God's sake, cuz the old geezers cant keep an 800 lbs bike up. I know sales are up in the far east, thats nice. But I don't think that HD makes much that the under 40 crowd is really going to warm up to. This Ducati, BMWs, KTM, and VStroms are the choices for adventure riding, nothing made here. There isnt a single HD product I would take anywhere farther than a gravel parking lot. It just makes me sad. I love my Uly and I was hoping to see updated models. An 1125 would have kicked ass. |
