From the looks of it that seat was made for a 1997 S3 but it will fit from 1997 to 2002.. |

I thought it would fit '97 thru '02, but bosephus checked with Corbin and they said it'll only fit 97 & 98. I used it on a '98. RB |

Therefore it's only worth 40% of the asking price. Where do I send the $80? |

I'm skeptical that it could only be used for '97 and '98. It it's not answered by someone who really knows before this weekend I'll pull out a '97 seat and see if it fits my '99. Not exactly definitive, but it should provide some insight. |

It WILL work for -'02. Good to go on a great seat. Where's the guy who's had a "WTB" posted on this seat for like 2 years now!? |

Guys, The seat will work on most any S3 or S3T. In 99 Buell redesigned the seat so that it was wider and a bit more comfortable. If you check out the stock photos of a the 97 - 98 you'll see this design seat. The difference is that the front saddle on a 97-98 does not wrap around the bottom of the fuel tank. The 99+ seats curve around the bottom of the fuel tank where it meets the tail piece body work. This seat would fit a 97-98 bike but will not look the same, or cover the bottom of the tank, like a 99+ seat would. The reason being that the mounting for both seats is the same. The top portion of the seat is redesigned. |
