Any one notice that the XB has push rod tubes? Something just doesn't look quite right on that picture. JT |

French translation through Bablefish, (Buell is on the point of revealing its new XB 12 R! It is true that the XB 9 had disappointed some fans mark by its driving behavior less spectacular than that of old X1. The manufacturer would thus have returned to a cubic capacity in the neighbourhoods of the 1200 Cm3, more advantageous in term of couple and power. With less than it quite simply took again the liquid block of V-Rod? Impossible to affirm anything for the hour, but more in the days to undoubtedly come...) Rumors, rumors, hopefully we will have all the info by this time next week. Nxtr |

Anonymous 1 & 2 perhaps you'd like to state your facts to support such statements? If MCN claim to be testing an XB12S in next weeks edition, a world first test, why would you be more informed than them wrt their claimed XB12S\R specifications? Maybe you could give your reasons for posting anonymous. Perhaps an effort to not make yourselves look stupid by any chance? Rocket edited by rocketman on July 09, 2003 |

>>>we will have all the info by this time next week. You will. The media, foreign and domestic, are operating under embargo agreements that allow them to take photos and begin writing in time to allow stories to run in roughly the same period as the introduction of the new models. The press kit for 2003 (which is awesome) also provides a collection of "canned" images. You, at this time next week, should know everything you need to know. I'd take MCN with a grain of salt... Wasnt MCN the ones who broke the orginal news on the XB's?? I believe they were about a week ahead of everyone else. It may all end up being bullshit, but it all seems plausible enough. |

For some reason I am underwhelmed. A 30% rise in displacment only gets you a 5% rise in HP and a %9 rise in Torque? Am I missing something here? |

I'm amazed that so many of you can doubt the integrity of MCN. What a bunch of wankers some of you are sometimes. I suppose when next weeks edition is published including the test they speak of, what say you then, another Photoshop trick? Is this an anti-British thing? Rocket |

Rocket, MCN gets a double hit for lack of integrity. First because they published a story on a press launch of 2004 Buell models that they agreed to embargo until the dealer show (no other magazine in the world broke this agreement), and secondly because they got so much wrong. Pathetic. |

Man, talk about timing. I found a buyer for my Cyclone this week and now I hear this semi-confirmation of a more powerful XB. The new owner of my Cyclone won't take delivery until next week, which means I'll be ready to buy right around the time we officially hear the details on the new Buell. I could pass on the gold wheels, but a Firebolt with a black frame and red body work would be very tempting. I just hope there's a significant power gain. Impatiently waiting, Mike L. |

Thanks Anon. I will go out on a limb here, The Buell pictured above is the new XB9S and we have yet to see the new XB12. But then again I just finished way too many Crown Royals. Like I said earlier we will all know next week!!! |
