So, is there anywhere I can get a decent exhaust that provides performance as well as a nice sound for a decent price? I can't believe that the exhausts for these bikes are so damn expensive. Also, I’m not sure what ECM to get. I just want better street performance and stronger low end torque. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks! |

The D_adams RT-3 pipe is only $549. There are a few cheaper pipes out there, but they all look and sound like crap. http://keda-design.com/shop/article_8/RT-Type-3-Cu stom-SS-Race-exhaust-4%22-round-muffler.html?shop_ param=cid%3D1%26aid%3D8%26 |

Barkers is 400 with a discount. I dig the Keda Design pipe too. All handmade to order and a really nice sound. |

Keda's are definitely awesome from what I see. But for the price you cant beat the Barker. And it sounds great IMO. Here's one of my vids I did. Its really a matter of what you like, obviously you know what Froggy's is! I also owned a Jardine, it was ok. Looked decent, but was way too loud. Barker offers quiet cores in 3 different sizes, definitely a plus http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cF3qOd8J8MA (Message edited by Jornum1 on April 12, 2010) |

Al Lighton, from American Sport Bike will be testing an assortment of slip-ons soon and should have some interesting results. |

Honestly, the Barker was better sounding than I expected, but I think it looks out of place especially with that weird mid pipe. |

The Barker collector looks crazy wild. The Kedas' look a bit more traditional and are stainless. |

Theres really know way to explain in words how loud something is. Being a owner of both a Jardine and now a Barker I would say they were on the same plane as far as noise level. Though IMO the Barker is much more pleasing of a sound. With 1 1/2" core it give me the in between sound I am looking for. Unfortunately until you hear it for yourself, your never going to get a good idea of how loud any exhaust is. |

I just can't get excited about the Barker, like the sound but the big gap between it and the motor makes the pipping look like a garage job. I know that megaphone pipe is instrumental for increased HP, but I've got to like its looks first. Looks like the Keda or something like it will be on my bike in the future. |

Right now there are a few decent ones that will not break the bank(again it all depends on what you want - Jardine, Barkers, HMF, Keda-Designs, etc...). I personally have an HMF right now. I've had it since last March. Do I like it, yeah, but when I can save enough money I'm going to get Dean's(keda-designs) RT3. That's what I would recommend. |

Barker simply based on price and ajustability. What other exhaust offers multiple inserts to change the sound level? Each and every part is bolted on for easy replacement should need be, not a single welded unit. In plain finish $400.50 to your door in the US with a quiet core. Now with that said the Keda is a good looking pipe. The Free Spirits dual pipes are pretty sharp looking for something different. There is a home made pipe on the site that looks like it has equal length headers that is a nice piece of work also. |

Make your own. Can be done for about 100 dollars in parts if you know how to weld and have something to cut pipe with. |

Anybody here own or have an opinion on the FMF Carbon/T1 Apex slip on muffler? They look like their quality built and ascetically pleasing. These sell for $549.99 with free shipping. This is one I'm considering and was hoping for some feed back. |

ijust bolted the exhaust up yesterday, It looks great and sound awesome. It just feels like it does'nt pull as hard as it did when it was stock. Maybe after some long rides the ecm will re-learn and adjust it-self like you said Dave. |
