I was riding around today and was just starting to roll out from an intersection in first gear. so feeling good i cracked it open maybe half or just a little over. to my surprise my tire came about 4 inches of the ground. so me not wanting to test it out and find out the wrong way. my question is if you are rolling in first and crack it open full throttle is there enough to bring the wheel up to high or tip it to far backwards? and also in second could you do the same thing and not have to worry about it coming up to far. thank you for the real comments in advance |

Asking this question shows that you have very little experience with high horsepower sportbikes. The R and especially the CR can be looped over backwards in a heartbeat with just a little to much throttle. The CR is the most wheelie prone bike I've ever ridden, with the exception of some open class dirt and track bikes I used to race. This so called "street bike" is in reality a race/ track bike just barley made legal. The control is all in your wrist so please be careful! Sam |

Mine can pull the front wheel at will in first. Not so much in second but I'm a lardass so that probably helps some! So yes it'll loop easily in first and probably in second with a normal sized rider. |

This is one of those questions that, if you have to ask it, you should have started out on a less powerful bike. |

Dude, Are you freaking kidding!?! You can loop the bike out 1st through 3rd gear! I'm sure you could actually complete a backflip at will in first. Second you'ed just end up on your head. And third you would drag your arse off on the pavement. |

I'm certain that I could go over In second gear, I will say tho my old speed triple wheelies much easier (would pick up at lower R's) |

I just took my inner air box cover off my R and could loop it in second now without a problem. Definitely prone to one wheel riding. I'm afraid for this Kevin, no joke, not being mean either. |

You guys are too skinny. Pack on some more McFat so you can keep that front wheel planted. Actually even at 6-4 250 I can pull the front up in 4th if I top a hill. |

I think someone stumbled on the loss of steering problem. Trade it in for a Blast, problem solved. |

Once upon a time...when I was younger than now...and with 500 miles on my bike...I decided to do a wheelie. I revved my Yamaha dirt bike up, popped the clutch, and...the bike ran out from under me. I couldn't seem to let go of the controls, so the bike flipped on its back and dropped me spread eagle on my face. Everybody thought that was hilarious...and that I was a dumb noob. That was because I was a hilarious but dumb noob. Be careful. Keep the front wheel on the ground. There is a saying among aviators goes like this, "There are old pilots, and there are bold pilots....but there are no old bold pilots." Appropriate for this situation I think. At my elevation just north of Denver, it's difficult. But at sea level a couple of years ago, I almost looped Loretta in 1st. Tell your right hand to be slow and smooth. Zack |
