Thanks to the Badweather membership, I found a beautiful, genuine 1992 RSS Buell, needing a few things to make completely original - Any parts, help or leads would be appreciated!! 1. Special Buell leather keyfob - If you can spare one, I'll buy it or borrow to reproduce. 2. License plate holder at the base of the rear fender - prefer one that is undrilled 3. Rear reflector, mounts on the license plate holder below the license plate 4. Locking fuel cap WITH KEY - Or key blank to make one for my cap 5. Nieman headstock key blank 6. Factory tool kit and towell wrap - will buy complete, or duplicate your set if you give me photo and toolkit content details if not for sale 7. Owner's manual with spiral spring binding 8. Good closeup photo of the WP maker's decal found on the front fork slider of the later inverted fork - Will reproduce and give free to any members who need them 9. Any literature, photos, manuals, spec sheets pertaining to the RSS model Again, any help will be gratefully appreciated, and I would be glad to correspond with any other RSS owners. Thanks!! | ||

I will wish you good luck on the key fob. As for the tool kit. The original pouch was made by one of the Elve's better half. That is one item you will need to borrow and duplicate. As for the plate holder/fender. Air Tech makes replacements. Owner of THE RS1200 Daytona show bike. This would be one of the few RS/RSS bikes. By that this one came equipped with the RSS dash/oil temp guage/oil cooler. | ||

Thank you guys!! Buelltours is generously sending me his original key pouch, I am going to try and duplicate it, will advise of results. Are there any parts/service manuals or build sheets for the RSS in that box, Court? Or a tool kit? 1313's product brochure says that a "color coordinated tool kit" is included with the RS/RSS?? Seems my bike also has an oil cooler and twin discs - Could these be special ordered? Anyone know some facts? Mysteries all around! | ||

Hi Warren congrats for the RS is it the bike recently sold on E-bay ? I also added also a black and gold RS last year to my collection. Please put me also in line for those key pouch duplicates I need a few :-) Your questions: 5. Nieman headstock key blank These locks are available new, as far as I know Niemann is a german producer let me have look where you can get them 8. I'm still in the market for similar documentation for my 1992 RS1200: Service/Owners/Parts Manuals, etc. Please keep me in the loop of "opportunities". I DO have a warmed-over key pouch that came with my bike...if it would help serve a purpose related to reproductions. Let me know. |
