That intake snorkel is big enough to suck in a small animal or child.

I suspect the theory on that is "less debris on a track than on a highway" to get tossed up by the front tire..and it gives a narrower overall profile (less frontal area).

Sure looks like a world beater!, and I believe it will be. "If you build it they will come" Lets all hope for a new "Phoenix" model in the future from someone who resurrects Buell mfg.

I've been wondering about fitting a "scoop" underneath the fairing to try to direct more air into the airbox. Wouldn't be difficult to do, but I'm not sure how wide you'd be able to make it as you need to leave room for the forks to turn.

I like how the pretty much damned up the whole space too , will have to take a look at the intake down tube when I get home , see what can be modified there ...... May be a good connecting point as well ???

Kirb: My guess is that little sensor shuts the engine off when shifting to allow for clutchless shifting. I think they're called speed shifters or quick shifters. VERY useful on the track. Been looking for one actually... As for the intake modifications. Please post up if you come up with anything.
