Step 1: get what you can for your bike, and use this $$ in Step 3. Step 2: write a check for $20,000 and mail to the Erik Buell Retirement Fund. Step 3: buy a late-model Hayabusa. I've done all 3; result:

LOL Very true. But I like when I am out riding and park some where and having people ask me "What the hell kind of freak of nature bike are you riding?" Busas are great for what they were intended for straight line, that isn't to say I haven't seen some people with more skill than myself carve it up on the track. I had an old friend tell me this. No matter what you ride or drive you can make it faster with the more dollar bills you throw at it. |

So we've re-discovered that bikes with more power have more power? Cool, I'm writing it down. |

That is part of why I bought the 25r because not too many people ride them, I see squids on Busas everywhere, they are a dime a dozen. And all the questions I get when people see it. And honestly 180 hp on a bike for the street, I would never have any use for that other than trying to kill myself or someone else. And the Buell is quite capable of that with 60 hp less with this squid behind the bars. (Message edited by 03fatboy on April 12, 2010) |

Cool! Let us know how much it costs to drop 80lbs, shrink its wheelbase by 4", and drop the 70mph-0 distance to under 200 feet. |

Get the S1000RR. It stomps even the Busa on the top end. |

Redscuell why would you buy the Buell if you were looking for ultimate HP? There are many alternatives other than a Buell for that. |

I had a 180BHP GSXR before my 1125cr & yeah it was fun, but the CR is way more fun & far more comfortable.. HP dont make you any faster, my little CBR600RR smokes wankers on their big HP liter plus bikes on the track..Anyone go fast in a straight line. |

Get the S1000RR. It stomps even the Busa on the top end. Was looking at one today, about 18k. Nice looking in red white and blue but i was really shocked how SMALL the bike looks and man those clips on seemed like a long low reach for my old broken down ass. The front end rake looked steep, bet that thing is tricky at low speeds. |

Ok...so a Busa will add 50 HP to my 1125. How do I attach it? Do you think bungee cords would work? I dunno..... |

Now you can ride around at 1% throttle opening instead of 2%, Redscuell. Plus, you won't have to struggle nearly as much to break the 70 mph barrier when you take that to a track. |

My minivan makes 250 HP, and that's with no performance mods at all. Power to weight ratio? Huh? |

The fact that you have come back to a Buell site to describe your Busa speaks volumes. Need closure? Lord give this man closure. You have a Busa. Congratulations. Cheers. |

One of the guys i ride with has a Busa. He loved it when he was drag racing. Its just not a great city bike and wants a Buell. I don't think i have ever seen him over 65mph. What a waste huh? I like them, and if i was drag racing i would buy one in a heart beat!

Say whatcha want, just b/c it looks squidish, doesn't mean the rider is. He is the reason i wear my gear every time i ride. Like i said, it WAS a drag bike, but I do give him shit about the stickers all the time though! |

Eh, I can't say I blame him. Friend of mine traded for a CBR1000, and I'm seriously considering it - I'm getting tired of the silly issues the 1125s have. Currently, I'm at work via car, since my cluster drained my battery between Fri night and Mon morning. Bonus, I've taken it in once to a dealership for this exact issue and was told Everything Is Normal. Hopefully the other dealership an hour away will be able to do something about it. They're more Buell-friendly, but... come ON. Too much "character" for my taste, I just want to ride. |

Americanmadexb Actually I like the lines of the busa, just a shame to slather it with stickers...kinda sad, like trolling .... |
