So I was replacing my front tire this morning on my Uly and noticed that my brake pads were shot. Well I figured no big deal, my local dealer would have some and of course no dice. So is there any other bike out there that takes the same pads that I may be able to cross reference the part numbers? Thanks |

Sure, any other bike with a ZTL front brake will cross over... Seriously, you'll have to buy pads specifically for the Buell; either OEM, or from the 2 or 3 aftermarket suppliers that make them. |

Since we're on the subject of brake pads, whats everyones favorite? So far, I've tried the stock pads, and Lyndall golds. Not impressed with either. |

Is the EBC HH also known as Sintered Double-H™ Rated Pads part number FA345HH ? |

Get ahold of Al at American Sport Bike. They sell different types for Buells and if you tell him what you need from your brakes he'll steer you in the right direction, honestly. |

Just put Galfer's (organic) on mine, they are softer and slower than stock. |

Paul, what do you mean "slower then stock". |

Takes greater distance and more pressure to stop. |

I installed some EBC HHs last weekend. To my tastes the Lyndall Golds were far too "soft" especially when heated up, The HHs have more, but not too much, initial bite and they stop with a lot more urgency. So far I like, I'm curious to see how they perform on the deposit induced pulsing front. |

I have dealt with the pulsing for most of the 40,000+ miles on my Uly. I've had stock pads, Lyndall Golds, and the EBC HH, AND done all the deposit reducing tricks. I was doing some pre-trip maintenance recently, and saw my EBCs were pretty close to gone, so I pulled them out. I sanded the rotor with the garnet sandpaper, and put in a set of used (but still useful) Lyndalls. The first time I had to use the front brakes with any urgency, I KNEW I liked the EBCs better. BUT, this is the longest time I can remember when the pulsing has not come back quickly. I'll take the trade-off. |

I've run the stock, the EBC HH and some i got from england also double H ebc and the british ones have worked fine, no issues with pulsing ever, some times the pulsing is not from the pads or disc, it can be of a slightly bent rim. |
