Glitch you are very correct smooth is always my goal. My dad started drumming that into me as a kid... I never listened then and was as abrupt as I wanted to be or even could be because it was fun. I wore myself out early in the rides and rode like poo for the last legs. Now that I am older I try to ride based on his experience, he started riding in his teens and knows worlds more about riding than I do. (he also started teaching me do to the same driving early on, and always a stick. I didn't drive an automatic tranny untill I was 21) But I also don't try to be fast anymore just smooth and stable, the stability is the important one to me. I want grip to spare at all times. It slows me down in corners and I get passed by insaniacs but I don't really care, I'm still having my fun and I'll live to do it again tomorrow. And that Bike Blamer has no idea how to be smooth. . I had a tankslapper once, bringing it down to hard from a wheelie at 80mph or so with the front wheel a little crooked. Must have been the bikes fault, why oh why did I not sue Buell???

when test riding my first buell i just about flipped over the handle bar's. I now use one finger to break and its very comfortable. I have never had a problem since. Plus now i am able to keep most of my hand on the grip. it feels much safer and i dont have to think about it. |

Above C4 breath no more is what an emt told me. I fractured C2 and C3, small scratches on the helmet, tore up my jacket some. Hell I would have walked away had it not been for the sudden stop in the ditch, and resulting cartwheels. Thats IT!!! I will SUE THE DITCH TOO!! |

Sue the tow truck driver for screwing up the bike while towing it... I'm sure it didn't have all those scratches in it before... |

About 15000 miles on my Xb12r and I haven't had a single tank slapper. I had about 10000 miles on a 2000 R6 and that thing would try to throw me off every couple of weeks. (more like 3 bad tank slappers)\ One of them was so bad I bruised my wrists on the gas tank. Those bikes were known to be prone to tankslappers and when I bought it it had a steering damper. I took it off and suffered the consequences. |
